How do I transfer photos from my Win 10 Computer to an Amazon Fire 7in Tablet
Just wondering if I need an App?
My Tablet is connected to my Computer (Hard Wired) through the same USB lead used for Charging but its not showing up in 'This Computer' as an external Hard Drive Are you supposed to 'Cast the photo' from the Computer to the Tablet?
My laptop has a fan problem, so I need to transfer my photos to a memory stick. In my old windows I could easily "send to" any photo and transfer it to a disc or memory stick, but I am so lost and frustrated on the new windows 10. I have only gotten as far as clicking the box, but can't figure out what next.
What is the best and or easiest way to transfer my photos from Picasa that are currently on my desktop to my new laptop? My desktop is Windows XP and my laptop is Windows 10.
Since I updated my laptop to Windows 10 I can no longer transfer my photos from my phone to my Toshiba laptop using the USB port. It used to come up as an external drive and then I could simply view and download photos..
Do I need to do something different now, or am I missing something?
I would like to transfer photos from my android phone to my windows 10. But when I do the original create date on the photo disappears. I need the date to remain on the photos for a legal situation.
Just set up new computer with windows 10 and am trying to figure out correct procedure to transfer old email, pics, documents, etc from the old computer running vista? I have an old version of a software called intellimover and a high speed USB transfer cable. Will that work ok with windows 10?
I just bought a new Dell computer. I created a disk image of the old Dell computer to an external drive, How do I move the disk image from the external drive to the new computer. Also I will not mind if I can be directed to a third party software that can do the job for me. I am using Windows 10 on both machines.
I'm officially getting the new Surface Book on Monday. All of my personal files & folders (Documents, Pictures, Music, Videos, etc.) are stored in OneDrive, so there's no problem there. However, there's one pesky app whose data I don't know how to save. The popular universal app for Windows 10, Sonic Dash, doesn't make use of cloud sync in Windows 10 (this feature is actually turned on in the iOS and Android versions of the game). This means every time you reinstall the app on any one of your Windows devices, you lose all your progress and have to restart all over again on that device. This means anyone who is getting a new device Monday will have to forfeit all their game progress, missions completed, characters unlocked, rings collected, upgrades purchased, etc. when they get their new device.
(I recently asked Windows Central users to tweet the developers Sonic Dash and ask them to enable cloud backup in Windows 10, either through OneDrive or Facebook, so that your game progress would sync across your devices. I think this is still a great idea, and ask you to tweet @HLGames if you haven't yet. However, it technically won't work in time for my switch to the Surface Book on Monday).
So, I'm wondering how I can manually save my game data and transfer it to my new Surface Book manually. Conceivably, all of the app data should be saved to my current computer somewhere, able to be transferred to a different device somehow. Any ways to preserve my game data and transfer it to my new Surface Book?
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 it takes HOURS to transfer even small files from my camera's SD card to the computer's hard drive via the built-in card reader.
The "speed" meter barely goes above 300 KBS per second.
I have a Cherry Mobile Alpha Morph that works without problems aside from the fact that, when I undock it from the keyboard, it doesn't detect that it should now be in Tablet Mode. I have to manually go to the Action Center and toggle it there. Same with docking it back. I have already checked my settings and I didn't disable Tablet Mode either.
how I can resolve this? I just want to seamlessly dock and undock the tablet and it should switch to tablet or desktop mode respectively.
I don't know if it's relevant but the OS is Windows 10 Home Single Language.
I plan on buying a new computer and want to transfer my Windows 10 App Game Statistics for Hearts and Chess to my new computer. Where does Windows 10 store these game statistics so I can save the folder.
Every time I connect my phone to my computer to charge it, the Photo app searches for new photos. How can I turn this annoying thing off? Couldn't find any button in the settings.

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
When viewing photos stored on OneDrive in the Photos app for Windows 10, is it possible to save it to your PC? I can't seem to see an option to do so...
So I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10 last night and so far quite impressed. However it looks like an issue has carried over from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I'm finding that the Photos app cannot see the photos stored on my SD card. I have directed the library to point to the SD card and it is the only location defined in the Library for Photos. This was a problem in 8.1 but as I never used the app I stopped worrying about trying to sort it. However I can see myself using the app in 10, so would like to figure out what is happening.
It's not a case of the app not showing duplicates because I temporarily disabled the option for it to show OneDrive photos and now nothing shows.
When i was editing my new YouTube video on Windows Movie Maker on my Windows 8 tablet Acer Iconia W700(I5 Core/4GB RAM) and i stupidly kept ignoring the low RAM warning signs telling me to close Movie Maker so when i gone in to full sceen mode everything went completely blank(dark) and nothing was there on the sceen.
So i waited when the battery died and charge it and i tried to boot up the tablet and i saw the Acer logo(and the loading thing) but after it stays on the blank(dark) page, nothing is coming up now, it won't go to the lock sceen and the CPU fan is always going on and off as well, i can't do a single thing on it now. . and will doing a hard reset get it all back to normal again??? Has the hardrive failed or is it something else?
My tablet used to go to the Desktop and when I pressed the Windows key, it would show all the pinned Icons. For some reason now, it only shows the icons and I don't seem to have a desktop. When I press the Windows key, nothing happens.
I have a prebuilt PC with Windows 10 installed on it. I want to upgrade the boot HDD to an SSD. Is it possible to do such a thing? If so, how do I transfer the OEM windows 10 from the HDD to SSD?
I selected tablet mode, and I have no way of going back that I can fine. My start button does nothing(which was the original problem that I was trying to resolve). All I have is Control Panel. This has definitely been the most challenging version since 3,1...
I have a Asus 2 in 1 tablet running windows 8.1. I tried to upgrade it via a thumb drive and it keeps on asking me for the product key. The tablet came preinstalled with windows 8 and I upgraded to windows 8.1. The product I have accessed in the settings is still the OEM key which is not accepted by windows.
