After upgrading to this build, all of the icons and notification center flicker every few seconds. When I click on the Start button, the start menu will open after a while.

View 4 RepliesIve been getting about one or two blue screens over the last two or three days. I read there was a cumulative update to pc windows 10. I dont know what changed but icons and symbols in the action center are not being graphically rendered on the desktop. I cannot see the edge icon on the task tray, but there is a space for it and there's an app there I can click on. What's going on?
View 1 RepliesWhen the popup notifications in Windows 10 show up, such as the auto-play ones when you put in a disk or a USB drive, they don't display the relevant icon, just the colored background box (see pic below). The autoplay itself is fully functional and works fine, it's just the icons. I'm not sure if the problem affects all apps or program that show icons on their notifications, but I'm assuming it does since, the app icons at the bottom of the "Settings -> System -> Notifications and Actions" screen were displayed the same way. I reset windows, and this seemed to fix the icons in that settings screen, but not the notification pop-up icons. In the case of autoplay notifications, it is not dependent on the disk, as it does the same for any disk or drive inserted or mounted.
Some of the things I've tried:
Restarting (obviously)
Creating new user (problem persisted)
Resetting the PC (deleted all files, without cleaning the drive. problem persisted)
I believe the support guy tried doing something with the registry, and he also tried updating my GPU drivers (which were already up to date)
In Windows 7 we had the option of selecting which icons were permanently or only displayed when they had a notification in the taskbar. I haven't been able to find where the option is to change the settings in Windows 10, is there one?

Does this panel got deleted in Windows 10 ? If yes, is there a solution to hide/show icons from the notification area ? The options available in the Parameters menu don't let you hide an icon, it just put it under the arrow icon.
Could not find "Notification Area Icons" in "All Control Panel Items" for Windows 10, but I could find it under Settings-System-Notifications. Is that normal for Windows 10? How can I add it in the "All Control Panel Items"?

View 2 RepliesI turn off the "always show all icons" and customize what I want to be shown. I don't like clutter, so I like hiding a lot of the systray crap. Almost every time I reboot though, the "always show all icons" has automagically became enabled again and I have to go in and turn it back off.

Win 10 pro (upgraded from Win 7 Pro)
Running Windows 10 on a Dell Venue 8 pro Tablet. Several months ago, and just yesterday I lost my desktop. Turned on the Tablet went to the desktop picture after signing in and ... nothing. No live panels, no desktop icons, the action center would not appear. Just the desktop picture. If I tapped on the picture, the icons would appear for a split second. Anything pinned to the bar along the bottom would work. I was able to get to system restore and restore to a couple of days ago. That worked. What happened. Don't really know how to fix other than system restore.

None of the notification icons in the systray activate, so I can't access the notify center or change my wireless signal. View 3 RepliesAll screens in the game flicker both in the menus and in game. It flickers so fast it is like a strobe light. The game is otherwise playable.
Compatibility options make no difference. This is with the DVD version of the game. Silent Hill 2 and 3 work fine. This issue was not present for me on Windows 7.
Whenever I am trying to play FIFA 11 on my pc the screen starts to flicker badly And washes out. My pc config is Ci3 4150 , nvidia gt 610 graphics, 500gb hdd, windows 10 pro . all the drivers are up to date . another issue is sometimes it says lan cable disconnected even when connected. There are many little bugs too like sometimes cant type into google chrome address bar.
View 1 RepliesI reserved Windows 10 upgrade in July. App shows that computer is compatible. It is near the end of Nov. and no notification to install. Should the Threshold 2 update allow me to install Windows 10? Everyone around me seems to have gotten the notice to install the upgrade but me.

At one point this morning I received a message that said I need Administrator permission. No error code. I have not received this message again despite trying the link numerous times. I am an Administrator on the system.

I got updated last night. I can't find my update history. I used to be able to in Win 7. In Win 10 I don't know what to click on. A notification appeared at the lower right corner of the screen and then disappeared after about two seconds. The Notification area says No Notifications.
View 1 RepliesI recently made a clean install of Windows 10. However when I reboot I noticed that the Wi-Fi tray icon wasn't showing any menu. I click it and nothing happened. No list was shown, the only way to connect was to go to This PC Configuration --- Internet & Networks --- Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi tray icon, battery and volume don't work. I don't know what to do. I search about it and found something about resetting explorer.exe, I try that but didn't work.

View 6 RepliesSince upgrading, when I go to file explorer I have duplicates of everything, e.g., several desk tops, several My PCs, several libraries. It's hard to judge how many because inside each on are duplicate icons. So every folder I have appears multiple times. I counted at least 4 for each of my HD's (internal and external) all my USB drives (which shouldn't even show up unless they are in use), etc.
I've included a screen shot but it's a little confusing since there are so many duplications, I couldn't show them in one shot. If you look you will that the first image goes down to Library > Network. The remaining icons are on the second page (though the second page also includes stuff from the first). Just start with Network on the second page.
When the computer comes back after being in sleep mode for a while, all the icons and fonts are in much larger size and with very poor definition. If I shut down the computer and start again, everything comes back normal.This issue only started after the upgrade to Windows 10.
