Sep 13, 2015I am unable to turn on Cortana on my desk top it states region not supported yet I have the same region on my on my laptop and that works fine I am a novice senior citizen!

Aug 3, 2015I'm using a Dell E7240, did a fresh install of Windows 10. I can pick up all sorts of WIFI connections and connect to them successfully.
However when I wanted to use my internal 3G modem it tells me that the "radio is off" and I can't enable this in settings? Its greyed out, f I enable flight mode is greys out the WIFI and Bluetooth switches. When I disable flight mode it allows me to turn WIFI and Bluetooth off/on but "radio" remains greyed out.
Checked BIOS settings, checked driver for the Mobile Broadband Card, disabled and enable the adapter.
Still does not want to allow me to enable the radio. I can manage the SIM PIN so I can change it or turn on or off.
It even shows me the network provider if I disable the SIM PIN, but the radio remains off!

Unable To Unpin Cortana From Taskbar
Jan 14, 2016I'm a minimalist, preferring not to clutter up my screen with all kinds of icons, etc.
I used to have Cortana hidden off screen, but still able to respond to me if I said; "Hey, Cortana."
Now, recently, the icon has popped up on my taskbar, and when I go to change it, hide it, etc. I only get the options of "Show App Icons" "Show All Notification Icons" and "Show Touch Keyboard Button"
I want to use Cortana, but cut down on all of the icons on my desktop screen. I don't think it was this way before the recent W10 update.

Aug 31, 2015I've upgraded to Windows 10. I'm trying to set up Cortana (in UK) and I'm stuck with a sign in problem with MS account.
I know my MS account password but the next window asks for my previous password, which I don't remember. In fact, I didn't have to log in to my local account. I've tried several different passwords and I've tried it 'blank' but to no avail.
So, I'm stuck! I can still use my machine ok but I can't finish setting up Cortana.

Nov 23, 2015I recently upgraded my SENS 900X Samsung laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 10. I did the easy upgrade, not a clean install. I did reformat my computer while it was in Windows 7, updated it, then upgraded to Windows 10.
When I turn on or restart my computer, I get a message which says:
I found : Link: Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10
However, after performing step 3, I get this message: "Your power plan information isn't available. Access is denied."
Unable To Access Start Menu / Cortana / Calendar
Sep 12, 2015I'm unable to access the start menu, cortana, or even my calendar. Can't even do it in safe mode.The thing is though, this is only on my main account (which happens to be a microsoft connected account), I have no issue accessing them with the other two (local) accounts on my computer. I've uninstalled any software or updates that I had installed prior to this issue appearing and ran a virus scan but the problem still persists. I'm not quite sure what to do at this point because this is such a weird issue.

This usually works within a minute of me sending it, but I tried sending three consecutive texts with the feature tonight and not one has been successfully sent after half an hour. Aug 6, 2015I recently did a clean install of Windows 10 which seemed to go well, but for some reason I am unable to change my desktop background, though the normal Personalization options. I can, however, go to the "Solid" option and change it to a different color. Also, if I download a wallpaper it only gives me the option to set it as the lock screen, and not the desktop.
A little background: This is the second PC that I've installed Win 10 on. The first was a newer laptop and I just went with the express upgrade from 8.1 and had no problems. The other laptop (the one I'm asking about) is a little older and I decided to do a clean install from Win 7 using the Windows 10 Media option downloaded to a USB drive. Also, when comparing the two desktops I notice that this second laptop has "WIndows 10 Home" displayed in the lower left hand corner of the desktop (as if it's a different version of Window 10, but when I went to the Win 10 update it says that No updates are required). After thinking that maybe the OS didn't install correctly the first time I went to Recovery and decided to Reset my computer, but that didn't change anything.
After researching this issue, the first thing I checked was the "Ease of Access" Remove Background Images was unchecked. Beyond that, I can't seem to find anything on the web that seems to address this.
FYI, basic system specs:
Sager Laptop (don't recall exact model)
CPU: i7-2760QM
GPU: Nvidea GTX 560M SLI
RAM: 8GB

Aug 1, 2015I just upgraded my Win 7 X 64 laptop to Win 10 and have the same desktop as on 7. I find I am unable to reposition any of the icons on the desktop like I could on 7. Otherwise the are normal. as they work just like always. I can click them or delete them but not move them. How to reposition the desktop icons on Win 10 Pro?

Aug 28, 2015I came across a very annoying problem. In the rush of multitasking I copied a folder that was being deleted at the time and pasted it onto my Desktop. Now I have an empty folder icon on my desktop with no name and I can't do anything with it.
None of the options in the context menu work, pressing Delete doesn't work either. When I list contents of my desktop in CMD using DIR command it doesn't display any directories either, as if the folder wasn't there at all.

Jan 21, 2015Does the new Maps app being built for the phone and PC features voice turn-by-turn navigation? I know the current Maps app does not. You need to use Here Drive or another third party app for voice navigation.
