I'm working on an applet for my class. I decided to use AWT even though it's really old.
I'm having trouble with the labels on my program. They don't show up until I click another tab in the browser and then go back to it each time after I click on a button. I tried to use repaint() but it doesn't seem to work. What can I do?
I have an applet coded to recieve an image and upon mouse press i wish it to be cropped. For some reason its not implementing, I just think my brain is no longer doing what i think it should be or something, along those lines.
I'm trying to open an image within a JFrame but the image doesn't show. The directory path is correct. The JFrame opens perfectly but no image is showing.
JFrame frame = new JFrame("IMAGE"); frame.setSize(500,500); frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("images/main.jpg"); JLabel label = new JLabel("", image, JLabel.CENTER); JPanel panel = new JPanel(new BorderLayout()); panel.add( label, BorderLayout.CENTER ); frame.setVisible(true);
I would like to reopen the following discussion: Show SVG-Image in WebView (JavaFX 8)
In our IDE (Eclipse Luna) running with jdk1.8.0_25 we load a html page into the webengine. The html page contains <img> tags with '.png' and '.svg' as src. Everything looks fine.
But if we execute the programm with java -jar, the WebEngine doesn't display the svg-files. Instead it shows the 'File not find'-Icon. The .png files still work
The files are definitly included into the jar and will be displayed if we link to them via <a href="someSvg.svg"></a>
Working on an assignment for a class: Create a DESKTOP application that allows you to open an image file and enables you to zoom in on or out from an image. I believe all I need is too create an open button to open the actual image file, instead of the html link, this code is an example that the teacher provided.My current code:
I've recently decided to learn Java on my own using internet material such as forums, blogs and you tube. Ive never programed before but through some research I concluded that Java is going to be on the mid spectrum of difficulty as far as verbiage goes. I ma in no way implying that Java is easy but instead closer to spoken English that c++ if my research is correct. So here is my attempt at a basic program where I click a button and it will make an image appear. Not sure where Im falling short
package clicktoimage; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; import javax.swing.*; public class Clicktoimage extends JFrame { private JLabel label; private ImageIcon image;
I am trying to make a game with an image on it, and I have one class that gets the image and the other is the game. When I run the program, it just shows my image on a gray JFrame. This leads me to think the image might be covering my whole game, which is weird because it is a mostly transparent image. I have tried resizing it and everything but I don't know what to do..
class A { List<StringBuilder> list; public void output(List<StringBuilder> objectToOutput){ try(BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("temp.txt"))){ for(StringBuilder row:objectToOutput) bw.write(row.toString()); }catch(IOException e){}
[code]....
Why don't the a's show up on the console? I put them in as part of the debugging process and now I don't understand why they don't show up in both places.
How do i make the 'date' column show only the date and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column only show the time. In my database table my 'date' column is a date type and 'timeIn' and 'timeOut' column is time.
Sir, I'am new to Swing Programming. I have to create an application where an image is displayed on one Label. The same image has to be split in parts and stored in database pert wise. Later the user has to retrieve the entire image by viewing a small part of the image. I have already displayed the full image on the Label, now i don't know how to split the image and store it part wise in the database.
I stored an image into MySQL database using swings and hibernate but I am struggling to retrieve that image from MySQL database and display same image in the jTable cell and same as on jLabel whatever I retrieve from the database using swings and hibernate .
I'm trying to make a method that takes an image and turns it into a tile image. So if the original image looks like this:
[URL] ....
then the output image should look like this:
[URL] ....
Here's a method that's supposed to do that but for some reason the output image looks the same as the original:
public static int[][] tile(int[][] arr){ int[][] tile = new int[arr.length][arr[0].length]; for (int i = 0; i < arr.length; i++) { tile[i]=arr[i]; } return tile; }
I recently changed the method and the error message I'm getting is "bad operand types for binary operator '+'. Here's the method:
public static int[][] tile(int[][] arr){ int[][] tile = new int[arr.length][arr[0].length]; for (int i = 0; i < arr.length; i++) { for(int j=0; j<arr[i].length;j++){ tile[j]=(tile[j])+(arr[i]); } } return tile; }
i have created a frame with a menu bar displaying contents..now i want to set a username and password to that flame through an applet how to add applet to the frame??
