Form Opening In Full Screen Mode Instead Of Size Set In Design?
Aug 9, 2012
I just imported all of my objects (tables, forms, etc.) into a brand new database file and all of my forms are now full screen instead of the size I set them to in design. What caused this? I can't get them back to their normal size.
I am using Access 2007 but imported files into 2003 .mdb file.
The opening switchboard of my db is set to popup but on opening the db it is showing full screen. On reopening once closed it pops up. How can I make it popup to start with?
Settings are: Default View - Single Form Auto Centre - Yes Auto Resize - No Border Style - Dialog
I have put much time in designing a form. After exiting and saving it, I cannot now open it. Only the Page Header shows, and I cannot get into 'Design' mode. I have tried repairing and compacting to no avail. Any ideas?
i have a button opening forms however when they open they appear in window mode and not full screen. is there an option or a line of code of code i am over looking to make it open in full screen mode?
I now understand that when opening and saving crosstab queries Access (2010) runs that query to ascertain the column names. Unless you hard-code them. Running the query takes at least 20 minutes. I have hard-coded where I can, but one report takes arbitrary dates so I can't hard-code them.
I believe that turning off AutoCorrect might make a difference to whether the query runs - but I don't want to turn it off.
I have several subform tabs and one that I have updated no longer shows up when I run the form on Form mode. The tab is there but no content or details of the subform
I have tried to make a login screen, I have also searched for information and tried some of the examples but, I just can't get one to work. Is there someone or somewhere where I can get information on how to build one step by step in simple easy instructions....(access 2003).
Also, how do you get access to open all the windows, tables, queries etc in full screen mode. I have expaneded them and shut it down and then reopened it but they still want to open out of full screen mode.
Thanks, everyone has been a great help in creating my first Access program.
I had the Main Menu open when clicked on access file. I put a autoexc.bat file somewhere. Where? Also how do I get a form to open in full screen again?
Apologies if I am covering old ground here but unfortunately I cannot find a suitable solution after searching the forum.
Basically my switchboard on Open includes DoCmd.Maximize so that the switchboard does indeed open on full screen. However, say I then leave my database open and work on a different application on my PC then when I click on my database on the taskbar then the form is not longer full screen.
So what I am basically asking is, is there a way of 'locking' it to appear full screen even if I flick between applications on my PC?
See my 2 attachments. I put the Pop-Up property on the form. that worked but still not what I want.
On the HATT attachment do you see how it opens in the middle of the screen? And the other opens at the top right, (and has that tab at the top right that says frmMain)?
how do i made the airwatch open in the middle? like the other screenshot?
Could somebody please tell me how to set the size that my form will appear when loaded, because it's really annoying me trying to get them to appear at the size I want.
Hello this is my first post in the definetely best Access & VBA forum on the net and i hope i am in the correct forum to ask this. I would like to know if there is any way in access to change the size of the for my users view according to their screen's resolution. E.g. i am creting the form using 1280 x 1024 resolution and my users have 1024 x 768 resolution how go i make the form adapt to their res. Thanks for any replies :D
How do I achieve a full screen switchboard display so that the only way to access the (table, query, form...) is by holding the shift button while clicking on the file icon. Thanks!
I have set the switchboard to maximise when opened, when I open any form fand then close it the switch board will not return at full screen, How can I have it maximise every time a form is closed!!!
1. I have a switchboard. I want to click a button, that opens a form with a dropdown list, when I make my selection, it opens a subform in add mode, but the linked field in the subform isn't empty, but filled with the mainform's field value that I selected?
OR
2. Is there a way for me to open a form in add mode, add data to it, click the add button (I will add an add button) that allows me to add again, but this time a particular field is not empty, but filled with selected info from previous selection?
Say for instance, I have 2 fields (both combo box fields), I click add, made selections for both fields, I click add again, but this time one of the fields stays constant like it's already been selected. It's filled with what was selected from before.
Hey. My database would like, to make itself feel complete, a rele snazzy opening form. I have flash 8 and I've created a 1024x768 movie with some simple animation on it. I've managed to add the movie to the database as a ActiveX flash object and the animations play. The problem is making the object larger! It's staying very small no matter how I change the properties of the control. Any help would be much appreciated. For the sake of my databases mental health... of course.
To attach the movie I did so: http://www.databasedev.co.uk/flash_movie.html
I'm working on a login form and *not thinking* I removed access to the submenu. I had already set the form up so that you either login correctly or exit the program. I'm working in code for the form and I know it's possible to reactivate the menu in code, I just don't know how. And I can't switch to design mode. The form is set up to not allow anything to happen until the correct login has been entered, and I either had a typo when I set up my test login or the program is bugged and only says it's incorrect....
Is there a place I can insert a snippet of code to have all the forms come up full screen. Some users think it is annoying that they dont always come up maximized. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Is there a way to hide the application title bar (including the min, max and close buttons) as well as the windows taskbar when Access is running? I have seen this done before where the form fills the entire screen - ie no controls or frames are visible.
I would like to ask here for advice on MS Access 2000 application. When a user logs in, he should be able to use the Access 'Query' screen in read-only mode. In other words, he should be able to generate queries by selecting tables and columns, or using the wizard, but the results of those queries may never have any influence on the data in the database. So: SELECT queries only. Users should be allowed to execute those queries, but are not allowed to access the tables, forms, or any other items directly. Is there a way to achieve this?
When I create a form in design view and then open it, the form fills the whole area. The Fit To Screen property is set to No, and Auto Resize makes no difference no matter what it is set at.
How can I reduce the form size (so it looks like an Excel form)?
Since the latests post I have received from The Doc Man, Pat Harman and ScottGem I have been spenfding a lot of time on stock, really interesting and challenging indeed. (Thanks very much for the advice)
I've design a database with a working transaction table. But by using this method, there is no way to have full traceability, how can i keep track of the advice note of each individual batch if i am using such a system? Is there any way to go round it?
