I am having 2 Tables.
Table 1: AddressBook
Fields --> User Name, Address, CountryCode
Table 2: Country
Fields --> Country Code, Country Name
Step 1 : I have created a Cube with these two tables using SSAS.
Step 2 : I have created a report in SSRS showing Address list.
The Column in the report are User Name, Address, Country Name
But I have no idea, how to convert this Country Code to Country name.
I am generating the report using the Layout tab. ( Data | Layout | Preview ) Report1.rdl [Design]
Anyone help me to solve this issue. Because, in our project most of the transaction tables have Code and Code description in master table. I need to convert all code into corresponding description in all my reports.

I have several databases that are used to collect data for differentclient-projects. My intention was to collect the data, and administermySQL so each client could see only their data. Each of thesedatabases used to collect data have the same tables. There are otherdatabases which are available to all the users which contain commoninformation.The command "show databases" lists all of the databases (visible tothe particular user) and not the one's I would like to display (thedatabases used to collect data). Please can someone help me with a problem im having.
I have a site which allows users to place adverts, they can place as many as they like.
In dreamweaver I have managed to set up a site which now works fine in testing (early stages), a user can log in with "user" and "password".
I wowuld like to know how it can be done so that when a user logs in, it shows them how many adverts they have running.
Example:
Live adverts = "?"
I can only get as far as knowing that I need to use "count" in the command, how do I do it so it shows only the advertiser who has logged in their results

I need to find out if a Transaction ID exists in Table A that does not exist in Table B. If that is the case, then I need to insert into Table B all of the Transaction IDs and Descriptions that are not already in. Seems to me this would involve If Not Exists and then an insert into Table B. This would work easily if there were only one row. What is the best way to handle it if there are a bunch of rows? Should there be some type of looping?

This command will tell you the columns names, datatypes, and length of the columns for that particular table. Does anyone know if there is a simliar command in SQL server that would do that? The only way that I have found so far is to do a join of the syscolumns with sysobject by table name.

I have a report that is set up as a matrix. The repor shows data relating to review numbers (for example 1-6). Based on the date range selected from my parameters the report will show stats and the matrix grouping is by the review number.
My question is this, if the dataset returns only some of the review numbers, can I do anything to show the other review numbers? They will always be from 1-6.

I'm currently investigating whether SQL Reporting Services might be the right solution to some reporting requirements I have been given (web reports).
There is a requirement that some of the columns are hidden to begin with and can be shown by clicking on the header of one of the other columns. E.g. There is a list of clients and a "Total Revenue" column, clicking on the "Total Revenue" column header would show an additional 5 or so columns which show a breakdown of different figures that make up the total revenue.
So my question is this: Is it possible to show/hide columns by clicking on the headers of other columns in the report?

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe Description field in SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services just defaults to "Send e-mail to email@domain.com" (obviously a dummy e-mail address) when you create an e-mail subscription. You cannot edit the Description when you select "Edit" beside a subscription.
The Description may be edited directly in the Subscriptions table under the ReportServer database but this is not end-user friendly.
I thought of using an add/update trigger to set the Description to the "Subject" out of the Extension Settings field. The Extension Settings field is XML so you would have to parse the Subject out of there first. The "Subject" is the e-mail Subject for the e-mail that is sent to the subscriber and it much more adequately describes the report.
My boss understood what I wanted to do but wanted to make sure in the industry literature that the product was not that lacking. Hard to believe that you cannot directly edit the Subscription Description through the web browser interface - would love for someone to prove me wrong.

I have used two matrix in one of my reports. One matrix is right above other. Both matrix's columns are allocated for month name. I.e there are 12 columns for each month of the year for each matrix.
column name of the second matrix was hidden. so end user can see only first matrix column name and corresponding data in each matrix.
But the problem is now, when there is no data for perticular month in first matrix, thats month's column does not appear at all.
Lets say there is no data for November in first matrix. so Novem column is missing in first mtrix now. but still Novem column is shown on the second matrix as it has some data, although column name is not shown. I wonder how I can show all the columns of both matrix regardless of population of data.

How am i going to store in the Products table ? But not all products have these descriptions, other products may have no description at all.... If I store them in a text/memo DESCRIPTION field, then , I do not know how to format them into bullet form...

I have a question regarding saving hashtags in another table. I have two tables with these columns:
Table1
ItemId, Name, Description (it may contains several hashtags like this example "hey I am an #example of this #question")
Table2
HashtagId, ItemId, Hashtag
So I want to detect #example and #question and put them in Table2. I'd like to create a trigger for table1 that if there was a hashtag, it added a record in table 2.

I have a parameter "time frame" which contains two value- 6 months ,12 months an 18 months which shows data of 6 months , 12 months and 18 months.
In my ssrs report i have 18 columns :

The first six months will be displayed in each case.
But when i choose 6 months i just want to display first six months only.when i choose 12 months i want to be displayed first 12 months columns only and for 18 months all the columns,.
I have one column in a matrix component and it has about 7 items, but the only the items which have values on the page appear at the top of that page.
This is for a labratory so the columns are the different Patient Types and the rows are the different Test Mnemonics. If one of the Patient Types is not used in any of the tests on that page, it doesnt show up. How to I make sure all Patient Types show up on every page?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I have been trying to get mySQL query to work for a large database that I have. I have (lets say) two tables Table_One and Table_Two. Table_One has three columns: Type, Animal and TestID and Table_Two has 2 columns Test_Name and Test_ID. Example with values is below:

This should be my final table. The approach I am currently using is to make multiple instances of Table_One and using joins to form this final table. So the column Bird, Reptile, Mammal and Fish all come from a different copy of Table_one.
For e.g

The problem with this query is it only works when all entries for Birds, Mammals, Reptiles and Fish have some value. If one field is empty as for Test_Two or Test_Three, it doesn't return that record. I used Or instead of And in the WHERE clause but that didn't work as well.
