Is there a way to get the number of occurances of a word within a specific row?
I want to query a dataset and have a column act as the number of occurances of a word within that row. I also need to use Full-Text searching... Is this possible?
What i want to do is count how many times the [Omnipay_Account] column is populated with a number per parentid.
In the [Omnipay_Account] column you can either have a null or a 15 digit number
Idea result layout would be three columns these columns would be
Every row, would need to be grouped via the parentid number
ParentId Omnipay MSIP
My query is

Some logic for calculating the count for changed values.
E.g. :--

Here in the above table my value changed from 10 to 20 and so.., so Val column value changed 4 times, so I need the result like :
 id     count
 1        4Â
Is it possible to count the same field with different criteria. It would be something like this.
car_table
car_id
car_name
car_brand
So you would execute a statement which would count(car_brand) with two different criteria.
I am not sure if this is possible or if there is another way to approach it.
I need to write a SQL to find number of hours between a begin time and end time. The fields are varchar. There are several date functions in sql, but I am not able to figure out how to get the hours between two times that is not in date format.
BEGIN_TIME END_TIME
0900----- 1500
1000----- 1700
1000----- 1230
0930----- 1030
Need help to create a query to count how many times over a specified time the tag(s) equal the value of 1.

I know only enough SQL to be dangerous, but I'm stumped by this general task.
I need to know the method for selecting info from several fields of the records that satisfy a group function criteria on one of the fields. Example: Table contains Employees, products, amounts. If I group on Employee, and product, I can find the total amount of each product's sales for that employee.

But if I want to know which product made each employee the most money, I don't know how to do that, because the MAX function works on each field individually, not by row. From the above view, (or a table created from it) I want to know how to identify, for each employee, the product they made the most money selling, and what proportion of their total sales that product accounted for. Then, I'd like to use those results to eliminate the top tier, and find their second place product, etc.
I can do this in Access by sorting the table produced from the above view by empl_prod_total in decending order, joining that to a view that groups by employee only and provides a total, then using a grouped query on the joined data, I can use the "FIRST" function to find the values in each field of the record with the highest sales for that employee. However SQL doesn't have the FIRST function in its aggregate functions.
I suspect there's a standard way SQL does this, but it wasn't in my class. HELP!

I need to have a script where it ask the user for a value, the script will search for all records that match the value. Then it will display the numbers of records found and ask the user to enter a different value. The rest of the script will use this new value and increment by 1 n times as the number of records found. I want to have another "textbox29" outside the table to count the number of "textbox39"s that are actually displayed and also the number of "textbox1"s that have a certain value (e.g. "1") in the final report. i have a stored procedure SELECT CommentID, UserName, CommentingDate
FROM Comm
WHERE PictureID = @PictureID
ORDER BY CommentingDate DESC
witch shows me the users who commented a Picture with PictureID = x
I need to add two rows at that stored procedure, one to show the number of total comments at that picutre (like counting the number of rows returned) and the second to show count the DISTINCT users who commented that picture
I tryied with COUNT but i have to use GROUP BY and i don't think this is good...
