How To Open Data Export Package Saved On SQl Server
May 9, 2008I have exported data usinng SQL Export Data wizard. I saved in the database, but now I can not see where it is. What option in SQL Manager to see/open the package?

ImportExport Wizrad, Saved Package, But Can't Open It....
Jun 1, 2006Yes, I created an saved a package, found it in the MSDB database (after connecting to Integration services) but can't figure out how to open it to see the control and data flow tabs. (BIDS can open a File or Analysis Service project so I don't see how to access the package from there.)
Please advise.

Hi,
I created a SSIS package which will generate an output file and place it on a remote fileshare location which will look something like this
\RemoteServerNameRemoteFilePath
The package is executing fine when I am executing it through BIDS or through execute package utility and writing the output file to remote file share location.
I created a SQL job for the package and ran the Job. Then, its throwing an error saying

DomainUser have all the permissions on the remote file share location.
SQL server agent is running with the log-on account DomainUser(same as the above).
Could anyone help me in resolving this issue.

Modify SSIS Package Saved On Server
May 10, 2006 I have saved an SSIS pacakage on my sql server. I am able to see and run the package through Integrations services. My question is, is there a way to edit the package through Management studio?

The reason being is I develop on desktop but some of the development I cannot do due to access restrictions.... So I want to save the package to the server then do the final creation there...

Jun 23, 2014Using server 2012 on local machine, I created an SSIS package that will execute in integrated services and Visual Studio solution but will not work when creating a job. Other solutions work well except when exporting data. The program pulls data from query and exports into .csv file. The messages I get are -
Data flow task 1:error:destination- Stage.csv failed the pre-execute phase and returned code 0xC020200E
and
Data flow task 1:error:Cannot open the datafile "pathStage.csv".

Package Changes Made And Saved Revert To Prior State When Package Closed And Re-opened
Jan 12, 2007I copied and added an existing package as a new package to a project and have been having trouble with settings reverting to those for the original package after I modify and save the changes for the new package. Sometimes happens with the save itself, other times it happens when I close and re-open the package. Most cases are with connections that revert back to the original file reference, but there are also control flow and data flow elements that keep reverting back to either settings from the original package or defaults that result in the re-opened package being in error. Not sure how to get around this issue short of developing the new package from scratch which I'd rather not do since it is fairly complex. Any help anyone can provide is appreciated. Thanks.

I am facing a problem. I have custom data flow transformation.We have saved a package using component's earlier assembly version. Now when we install later version of the component the saved package fails to open. If I try creating new package it succeeds.
Error message :
Error 1 Validation error. Data Flow Task: DTS.Pipeline: The component metadata for "component "Oracle Destination" (153)" could not be upgraded to the newer version of the component. The PerformUpgrade method failed. Package.dtsx 0 0
We tried overriding "perform upgrade" method but still I am facing the same issue.

Yet another question again on the issues with SSIS. I have a package now which is working fine.
The package consists of a control flow and i have 2 DF tasks which are unionall first and then saved into a sql server destination.
It's fine up to this point but i've just been notified that i would need to generate 2 files based on different values after i combined the data from 2 sql server DF tasks.
My question is how can i know the rows which are being saved on this sql server destination.
I have a primary key which is an autoincrement column.

1) SQL would drop all objects: (views, tables, stored procedures) etc
2) SQL would create all objects: (views, tables, stored procedures) etc
3) Export Wizard SSIS package would execute
Also is there a dynamic way to add more tables do the package once created in SQL database? I would like to put the whole task on a scheduler too...

I want to download data from an AS/400 to a SQL 2005 Database.
Within Sql server 2000 it was possible to do more than 1 transformation with just 1 source connenction and 1 destination.
In SSIS I have created:
- new solution
- data source
- Data source viewer ( I made named queries to format the data as i want it to be in Sql)
Although it is possible to view the named query data it does not seem to be possible to import the data in the data viewer into my sql 2005 database. (For each dataflow I have to define each query again)
I have added the data source in the connection manager.
Also I am searching to import more than 1 file in 1 package !
I can use however a Dts-2000 package but why then use SQL server 2005
Hope somebody can help me

I am using the following query to export data from sql server to ms access in export data wizard:
SELECT * FROM myView where myID = 123
Order by varcharColumnName1,varcharColumnName2 ,intColumnName3
This query will fetch about 7, 00,000 records.
SQL server 2005 shows the correct order, but Data in access table shows Incorrect data.
Please give me the solutions.

Jun 13, 2004I have just created a package to import data from excel files, and perform some simple sql statements. I saved the package, and when I try to re-open it, I get the following error:
"Error Source: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Error Description: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).] SQL Server does not exist or access denied."
And after I hit th "OK" button, I get the next error msg:
"The selected package cannot be opened. The DTS Designer has been closed"
Is my package completely lost? Can I open it elsewhere, or by changing some properties somewhere? Also, is there something I can do to avoid this in the future?! I hope all my work isn't lost ...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

SQL Server Admin 2014 :: Cannot Open Data File When Running Agent Job
Apr 30, 2015I recently installed standalone version of SQL 2014 Standard on my work computer. I used Access before but I want to use a SQL server instead.
We have a shared drive that a file gets deposited every day at midnight. I want to be able to get this file and import it to the server (its basically a list of names).
Here what I have done so far:
I created the database
Created the file and successfully imported data into it using the Import Data feature.
I saved the SSIS package
Scheduled an Agent Job for this package to run at certain time,daily
At first the jobs would fail with a Access is Denied. I added a user under Credentials with my network account ( have admin rights on the work computer).Also added a Proxy for the Credential user I made.
Jobs fail with a “Cannot open data file” error. I tried changing things here and there, but I can’t get it to work.
