I have 10 records seperated by ID. I m using List in SSRS to show data on report. I need to add horizontal line after first record, then after second record till 10 th record. How do we add this line?

I have a dataset with 2 fields : code and value. I have a parameter that will give me the data to insert into the table I want to make. The number of rows is not fixed, so I couldn't create, for example, a table with a fixed number of rows.
I want to create some kind of table that will allow me to have cells that look like this : "code" : "value" and have 3 of them (like 3 columns) before I switch to the next line (row).
Just to make it clear, I'm not using any SQL requests here, data comes from XML.
It should look like this :
code1 : value1 code2 : value2 code3 : value3
code4 : value4 code5 : value5 code6 : value6
code7 : value7
and it'll go like this until I've used all the data.
Is it possible to remove the tick marks that I have circled in red?The chart has data Week by week over a year, and the T1, T2 etc are equivalent to Quarter1, Quarter 2 etcI've got a 3 level grouping, with the top level being Year, then Quarter, then Week. The label for the "Week" grouping is set to blank, and that's why you don't see it here.Removing the Tick marks would make the chart legend more readable in my opinion.

I am faced with same problem I see many SSRS devs posting on. And that is extra blank pages, being generated because the report width exceeds the width of the page.
My problem is I cannot shrink the horizontal width of the tablix and therefore the report width either...
While I would have done things differently if developing from scratch, the tablix in question has only one column and objects contained in rectangles are placed in the row/column cell.....The link to the image below shows the row I am currently working on. Essentially all the client wants a columnar report with column lines, closed footers, etc... so rather redoing the whole tablix, which I still might do, I am using rectangles with the column then lining them up. Anyway, that is a whole 'nuther post. My specific questions are:
Invoice in Report Builder
1. In the image I have selected the parent rectangle. The children are other rectangles and the data is with grandchildren textboxes that exist within those rectangles. I clearly have a bit of right side white space in the main parent rectangle, but there is no sizing tool on a hover... just move tool. And if I change the rectangle size in the prop form it just snaps back to the cell width. How do I size the parent rectangle and keep if from expanding.
Here I am guessing that to actually reduce the horizontal width of tablix and then the report, I have to first decrease the parent width of the rectangles that occur in each row?
SSRS 2012 - VS2010...The report compares two years with a sort order on a value that has been engineered based on text switched to int. When sorting A-Z this is the result in the horizontal axis is: 5th, K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th..When sorting Z-A the result in the horizontal axis is:5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st, PreK..Z-A is correct but A-Z sorting shows 5th as the start and end. The magnitude of the PreK location is correct but the label is wrong on the A-Z sort order. The sorting is implemented using the Category Group sorting option.

I have a stacked bar with Line marker. that shows the trend contribution. My concerned is the line marker was behind the stacked bar which it should be at the front or before the stacked bar. how to fixed this in SSRS and Report builder. The line marker is the finished good qty while the 3 other legend WIP, FG and Scrap is the Percentage.

I am creating a list of students and their degrees, but some students have multiple degrees and some only have one. If I place the information in a table with a blank row for a break, it breaks after every degree, but without the break there are no breaks at all.

Is there a possibility in SSRS to have One stacked bar of cumulative sum of different ID's and and Line Chart at left hand of the Bar which will show the Progress as soon as the ID turn to Competed status.
I have been trying to do this , however there is huge problem of scaling:
The line should be finished at all the completed ID's SUM which is the lowest stack of the Bar.
However , the bar gets stretched to all of the space.
I have tried to place it into Tab lix, But it doesn't work.
We had finished converting a lot of our reports from Crystal Reports to SSRS. Upon doing so, one report, the customer's invoice has comments in the report that contain (s) at then end of a word to indicate singular or plural. Crystal reports handled the wrap correctly and kept the word together including the (s), but in SSRS, the (s) is being wrapped to the next line, which doesn't look good at all.

In this, I need to add line charts for the three years specifying the running total. I already have bar charts for the respective years. This is the query that I used to get the dataset.

Then I added a series with a expression that had the chart type as line as shown below.
My Expression was
=RunningValue(Fields!Running_Total.Value,SUM,"MonthWiseData")
My 3 parameter was "MonthWiseData" which is my dataset name. Is this correct? I use the same dataset to get the bar charts too. I get a error message now when loading the report saying "the scope parameter must be set to a string constant.
My goal is to get bar values for 3 years for the 12 months and in the same chart get the cumulative numbers for the 3 years for the 12 months. How can I do this?
I am trying to push the install for ReportBuilder 3.0 and am having an issue with the REPORTSERVERURL option for installing via command line.I have a batch file that works fine, however when I launch the app it does not have a report server configured. I have verified I can connect to my report server if I enter it manually.

How to make it work with dynamic values in the series and some dates in the category, how to join the "data" values for a "series"where there are no category value. So far I cannot see any fix that would make it work by joining the data points with the "average" data on a empty point (no category value) and with the same color on the line.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI typically use Report Designer, but I have a new project requiring Report Builder 3.0. In Report Designer (BIDS), I can take more complex expressions (ie SWITCH with 5 or 6 options), and put each pairing on a new line to be able to better read the code.
In the Expression Editor in Report Builder, pressing the ENTER key on my keyboard closes the Expression dialog box and saves the changes.
Is there any way to add line returns in the code to make it more readable? The expression editor wraps when it runs out of room, but this doesn't make it more readable, in some cases, it wraps in the middle of a field name, making it even less readable.
The 2012 version also has this same "feature".
I have a stacked bar chart which i notice a vertical line char. how can i removed this vertical line? I already modified the properties under smart labels under calloutlineanchor, calloutlinestyle, calloutstyle to None but still getting this vertical lines. another things is the data label as you can see in the the first column the 1.8% should be place under the gray color but its already shown before the orange color.

I'm passing one parameter to the report and would like to be able to automatically call the Save As... command and provide a path and name to save the file. I wnat to render the report as a PDf file and save it in that format as well. I can generate the name of the file on the fly using the input parameter value.
What I need is a sample of how to instantiate a reporting services object in .Net 2003 and the commands to execute the Save As function after the report has been rendered.

Their interesting requirement is that the records would be listed horizontally, end-to-end as I hope you can visualize based on what I'm providing here. Two other characteristics/specs of note, 1) there could be as few as two records end-to-end in a row or as many as 100 and 2) of course the column headings would have to be unique.

As per above requirements, I have built the below line graph query and graph, currently it only displays the date labels as per data but I need to display date labels with bi-weekly intervals starting date from one month to three months future from the current date. Also another issue found, if there are few more date labels then does not show all labels on horizontal axis.

For Example in below screenshot, refer the 'Adrian Larkin' resource. Here is the SSRS report border expression which is comparing the [TimeByDay] with the current Week First Monday Date to display the red bar -

Here is the dataset result set. If you refer the column [TimeByDay], it has no record for the date 11/05/2015 for the Adrian resource as he has no assignment for the date 11-05-2015.display the red missing line red bar using the expression or any other solution.
I have a client who needs to copy an existing sale. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a table where I am grouping on one field and would like an individual (separate) count of values from another field of same table. So for example, I have following data:
instance_id, area, values
101 North 1
102 North 2
103 East 2
104 East 2
I would like to report on Area, and count of rows with different Values types, for example:
Area Value - 1, Value - 2, Value - 3
North 1 1 0
East 0 2 0
I am not sure what the technical term is for such report, but I can group by Area column, and but its aggregating counts on different Value types that I am having difficulty in performing in SSRS.
For my report I am trying to display images that are pulled from a database. Images are from separate records. I have the records I need in a dataset and now I want to set a Table Cell value to the field corresponding to the image. However, the next images/(records) are displayed on the next row (as expected i guess). How do I set the the records/values to be displayed across a single row?

I want to repeat line on each page of report on PDF while using 2 columns on report. The problem is that if i use table border it will also repeat after second table. i want a line between two tables.

The problem is these links are not the only things present in the record, and there is other data present. I keep seeing examples where they are considering only a link to be present in the record with no other data.
Also the data in the record includes HTML tags and I checked the option that says "HTML - Interpret HTML tags as styles" on the placeholder properties window.
Example of data in the record:

So when I click on the www.google.com URL, it should open in a new window.
