I have got this matrix and I am trying to calculate the average amount of working days in a month. At the moment, I have divided the total number of jobs by 21 for every month which is a hard coded value. However, I am not sure how to retrieve this value dynamically. Is there any formula that can find out the working days?

I developed one dynamic column (matrix) report. while export to excel it 's show same output as SSRS have. but while exporting CSV pivot column not coming as same as Excel and SSRS screen. data is moving to rows.

I have an SQL code below which removes weekends and non working days when calculating days difference between two dates:

It works but I don't understand how it works it out. I am having issues understanding each coloured piece of code and how it works together.
I got the following code to add a column in a matrix with a variance:

This code works fine, except that the first row of the matrix shows an #error
This happens with each matrix where I use this expression. A warning emerges:

Attempted to divide by zero.
The strange thing is that the part
Fields!year.Value=First(Fields!year.Value,"Category")
should prevent an error and I expect it to show 'nothing'
An screenshot of the table. (each color is a different category. Each row stands for 2013, 2014, 2015)
As you can see, all other 2013 rows show a blank cell, except the first row.
I'm trying to add a custom report format to ssrs 2005 as per this [URL] I've added the code snippets in the example to three different ssrs 2005 server RSReportServer.config files but it does not work i.e do not show up in the export drop down when rendering report.
I've tried starting and stopping reporting services and it still does not works.
I've also modified the existing csv extension with different options to see if it works but to no avail.However it works with SSRS2008 R2 . In fact it works right after I saved the config file, no restart needed.For SSRS2005 the file is in C:Program FilesMicrosoft SQL ServerMSSQL.3Reporting ServicesReportServer. I checked the registry setting just to make sure I'm looking at the correct installation 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE', 'SOFTWAREMicrosoftMicrosoft SQL Server90ToolsClientSetup', 'SQLPath' The three ssrs2005 instances are in three different physical servers and the problem is with all of them so it is not an isolated incident. I've dbowner rights to all three servers. The server versions are 9.0.4060, 9.0.4035 and 9.0.4053
How can I calculate the no. of days in a month.I know it is a simple question but I am not able to find any code to calculate that.

I need developing a query to get the average count by the following:
Day - use daily info for the last ??? days
Weekly - average
- Add all days and divide by 7
- As of Saturday midnight
Monthly - average
- Add all days and divide by days in the month
- As of last save on last day of month
Quarter - average
- Add all days and divide by number of days in the quarter
- As of last day of quarter
Year - average
I don't have requirements for year as of yet.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the table below and like to create a view to show the no of days the property was vacant or void and rent loss per month. The below explanation will describe output required
For example we have a property (house/unit/apartment) and the tenant vacates on 06/09/2014. Lets say we fill the property back on 15/10/2014. From this we know the property was empty or void for 39 days. Now we need to calculate the rent loss. Based on the Market Rent of the property we can get this. Lets say the market rent for our property is $349/pw. So the rent loss for 39 days is 349/7*39 = $1944.43/-.
Now the tricky part and what im trying to achieve. Since the property was void or empty between 2 months, I want to know how many days the property was empty in the first month and the rent loss in that month and how many days the property was empty in the second month and the rent loss incurred in that month. Most of the properties are filled in the same month and only in few cases the property is empty between two months.
As shown below we are splitting the period 06/09/2014 - 15/10/2014 and then calculating the void days and rent loss per month
Period No of Void Days Rent Loss
06/09/2014 - 30/09/2014 24 349/7*24 = 1196.57
01/10/2014 - 15/10/2014 15 349/7*15 = 747.85

I have line chart and want to see the xaxis date on interval of 5 days and it should start from first date and end at last date.
If my range starts from 11 Nov to 1 Dec
11 Nov 16 Nov.....1Dec
My date column have null fields . Though I have tried putting dummy values it still does not work so its not the problem of NULL.
I am getting Below results:
If I keep Interval one it starts form 11th and ends at 01 dec but it shows all dates.
Is there any possible way the i sum the "Grand TTL Cases" by month? means only 1 cell in each month for "Grand TTL Cases"(25.56 + 1334.22)

In SSRS report I have 2 parameters start date and end date, so when somebody is selecting end date more than a month(if today date is 22 then they are selecting aug 23) then it should give error message to user like "Date out of range".
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using SSRS 2014. I'm using a matrix instead of a tablix because it allows me to have dynamic columns. In the example I'm showing, two of the columns use the sum function to get the total counts per practice. The third column contains percentages so I averaged for the total but the value is inaccurate compared to the value I would get if the divided the the two totals that are sums of the counts. Is there a way for me to specify that I want to divide the total counts numerator divided by the total counts denominator?
Here's an example report output with the percentage column averaged (inaccurate):
PCP numerator denominator percentage
John Smith 66 104 63.46
Tom Jones 4 36 11.11

.
.
Jane Doe 1 1 100
Total 708 1005 72.3
So the 72.3 value is from Avg(metricvalue)
I would like to do this instead: % total = 708/1005, which equals 70.5 - a significant difference.
The metricvalue column is what is the value for every number above (Because it's a matrix).
I have created the matrix report which has dynamic column, it grow columns(18) based on the 'MCU' field in PRD.MI table. I have added the 'MCU'(A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,...Q) on 'Columns' in matrix table, to create matrix report and I have added 'mcst' on 'Data' in matrix table and I have added the 'msp2' on 'Rows' in matrix table. I have created new column after row and I added USP2DS.Final output is as given below.I need the split the matrix column per page.

I have a dataset with weekly salary of multiple employees of same grade from different dpt. We are not going to show the report based on employ. The report will be showing data based on Employee grade and their department.

How to find the total for each row on the right most end ?
I am trying to create a matrix report to work similar to a pivot table, where when a user clicks on the count, the details are displayed. When I add the action to open a sub-report, how do I pass in the parameter values for the group that was selected? meaning if in row group- I have company name, and column group I have job title, when the count gets clicked, i need to pass in the company name for the row that was clicked along with the column group. How can I proceed?
