I have just installed the Threshold 2 update but still my Weather live tile is not working, it worked for a few days after I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 but ever since then it's not worked, I was hoping this big update was going to fix this.
Is there a way I can reinstall the weather app?
I have 3 live weather tiles in my apps. One of them is working fine, but the other 2 are not live. Can you have more than 1 live weather tile apps for different locations?
I have a surface pro 3 with windows 10. Software is updated. My other live tiles are working just fine.
My weather live tile doesn't work no matter what...all the other tiles works flawlessly.

Following some random Windows Update a few months ago, my default Windows 10 weather app (the one that can be pinned to the start menu) displays the temperature properly and updates regularly, however, if I click to open it, it opens blank....basically, the window is just the blue background with the little icon of the sun in the center.
This app used to work 100% before.Lastly, I remember my calendar app not opening at all when Windows 10 was fresh. It would immediately close upon opening the calendar app. However, following some random Windows Update, the calendar app started working properly.
I "upgraded" to Windows 10 from 8.1, but I did a FULL install and chose to "save nothing" from 8.1, so it is about as legit as it can get to being a full installation and not an upgrade.
PS, it doesn't seem to matter if I enable to disable background data for the Weather app in privacy settings. I have tried it out both ways, and either way, on or off, the live tile for the weather app still updates, but opens blank and won't show me the large view when I click on it.
I don't use any other apps, I have not downloaded any other apps from the app store, and I have deleted some of the apps that came with Windows 10. I prefer to use my web browser for most things.
Noticed recently that my Weather Live Tile only reports data when it is in medium sizing. Expanding to wide or large disables the live feature for some reason. I was wondering if this is a known issue or if it is just a setting I can modify.

View 9 RepliesEver since I updated to windows 10 mobile build 10572, live tiles doesn't seems to be working for most of the apps. I thought a hard reset may resolve this issues but even after that the problems still persist.

View 5 RepliesSystem restore fixed my problems,and now I am back to a almost fully functioning O.S,except the windows store is not able to download anything, I will probably not try to fix it on my own, the error code was and is the same(0x80070005)
I think the problem is related to the registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain being locked,I cant use regedit to change permissions(with admin too),regdelnull did not find the key so its not with embedded-null characters.
This key is preventing me from installing Skype and fixing Microsoft office,and some windows updates are failing because of it,saying I have no permissions.Well after lots of permission tikering I have managed to gain ownership of the registry and now office is able to install which means it works,sadly windows store is STILL not working... means that it is something else...
my first two installs failed,and this one was working,I managed to get all of my old personal files and it was fine and dandy,until I noticed that the windows store was not working.I spent 3 hours fixing it and it started opening, great!, but... I noticed it couldn't download anything ,and by trying to spam commands into cmd to fix the store,. I went into safe mode,did a system restore,booted up win 10 - blue-screened. (I have the logs,dmp files). Went into built in troubleshooter and did everything,and then... from the troubleshooter did system restore,from the same point AGAIN!
Now I booted up windows,desktop starts slower and usually requires me to run explorer.exe manually ,I was happy that it had finally seemed ok,until I found out that every single tile app was not working... Only mail,calendar and groove music works...How don't they work?Well the store closes in 1 second,the other apps say they can't open and redirect me to seek info in the store,oh and the tiles are grey.
A while back I updated my Xbox avatar and took a new picture for it. The updated avatar and picture shows up on my Xbox One, Xbox 360, Games app on my 830 with 8.1, in the Xbox app and live tile on Windows 10 mobile, and in the Xbox app on Windows 10. However, the live tile for the Xbox app on Windows 10 still shows the old avatar picture. I've not found any setting to force an update, and I've tried unpinning and repining the app, but it is still the old picture.

View 4 RepliesShutdown computer last night, turned it on this morning and the 'app' quite working. Got one of those messages from windows – “A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” Rebooted computer twice – no go.
O.K. then. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck. Tried to download Weather Channel app – no go – clicking on download link and nothing happened. O.K. Tried to download Accuweather app – same result – clicking on “link” and nothing happened. Tried different sources, Cnet etc.
Dell computer, windows 10 – no other issues. Computer works fine otherwise. I like to have the “temperature” on my task bar as I go walking everyday and its a nice guide.
Also I cant access the Universal Applications folder, the apps seems to be working fine tho but the folder is in-accessible.

how do you change the location for the weather that cortana reports?

I'm not optimistic, but perhaps there are solutions I've missed so far.... I need them to appear when Windows startup I want them to be small (not taking up too much of the screen) For weather, I need to be able to have multiple cities open at the same time and not getting in each other's way
