Nov 8, 2015I have 3 live weather tiles in my apps. One of them is working fine, but the other 2 are not live. Can you have more than 1 live weather tile apps for different locations?
I have a surface pro 3 with windows 10. Software is updated. My other live tiles are working just fine.

Nov 14, 2015I have just installed the Threshold 2 update but still my Weather live tile is not working, it worked for a few days after I upgraded from Windows 8 to 10 but ever since then it's not worked, I was hoping this big update was going to fix this.

Oct 24, 2015Ever since I updated to windows 10 mobile build 10572, live tiles doesn't seems to be working for most of the apps. I thought a hard reset may resolve this issues but even after that the problems still persist.

Jan 6, 2016I am using Windows 10 Professional edition. Following some random Windows Update a few months ago, my default Windows 10 weather app (the one that can be pinned to the start menu) displays the temperature properly and updates regularly, however, if I click to open it, it opens blank....basically, the window is just the blue background with the little icon of the sun in the center.
This app used to work 100% before.Lastly, I remember my calendar app not opening at all when Windows 10 was fresh. It would immediately close upon opening the calendar app. However, following some random Windows Update, the calendar app started working properly.
I "upgraded" to Windows 10 from 8.1, but I did a FULL install and chose to "save nothing" from 8.1, so it is about as legit as it can get to being a full installation and not an upgrade.
PS, it doesn't seem to matter if I enable to disable background data for the Weather app in privacy settings. I have tried it out both ways, and either way, on or off, the live tile for the weather app still updates, but opens blank and won't show me the large view when I click on it.
I don't use any other apps, I have not downloaded any other apps from the app store, and I have deleted some of the apps that came with Windows 10. I prefer to use my web browser for most things.

Aug 12, 2015System restore fixed my problems,and now I am back to a almost fully functioning O.S,except the windows store is not able to download anything, I will probably not try to fix it on my own, the error code was and is the same(0x80070005)
I think the problem is related to the registry keys in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftInternet ExplorerMain being locked,I cant use regedit to change permissions(with admin too),regdelnull did not find the key so its not with embedded-null characters.
This key is preventing me from installing Skype and fixing Microsoft office,and some windows updates are failing because of it,saying I have no permissions.Well after lots of permission tikering I have managed to gain ownership of the registry and now office is able to install which means it works,sadly windows store is STILL not working... means that it is something else...
my first two installs failed,and this one was working,I managed to get all of my old personal files and it was fine and dandy,until I noticed that the windows store was not working.I spent 3 hours fixing it and it started opening, great!, but... I noticed it couldn't download anything ,and by trying to spam commands into cmd to fix the store,. I went into safe mode,did a system restore,booted up win 10 - blue-screened. (I have the logs,dmp files). Went into built in troubleshooter and did everything,and then... from the troubleshooter did system restore,from the same point AGAIN!
Now I booted up windows,desktop starts slower and usually requires me to run explorer.exe manually ,I was happy that it had finally seemed ok,until I found out that every single tile app was not working... Only mail,calendar and groove music works...How don't they work?Well the store closes in 1 second,the other apps say they can't open and redirect me to seek info in the store,oh and the tiles are grey.
Why Isn't Xbox App Live Tile Updating Avatar Picture
Oct 16, 2015A while back I updated my Xbox avatar and took a new picture for it. The updated avatar and picture shows up on my Xbox One, Xbox 360, Games app on my 830 with 8.1, in the Xbox app and live tile on Windows 10 mobile, and in the Xbox app on Windows 10. However, the live tile for the Xbox app on Windows 10 still shows the old avatar picture. I've not found any setting to force an update, and I've tried unpinning and repining the app, but it is still the old picture.

Feb 23, 2016I originally wanted to completely disable the UAC as the admin permission messages that popped for almost any/everything i wanted to do were very annoying. I dont remember exactly what i did, but it was something in gpedit or something similar to it. After i did that my windows store app stopped working, and appeared as a blank space in my task bar as it was still pinned there. As the store wasnt working, apps related to it like the calculator disappeared from my pc. They dont appear when i search for them, and links to DL ones from the store dont work either.
I tried the guide here Apps - Reinstall and Re-register in Windows 8 and 10 - Windows 10 Forums and did step 2, but that managed to break powershell and make it disappear as well as disabling my task bar and start menu. I cant right click anything in my task bar, and can only use the start menu's right click menu.

Sep 14, 2015A bit of background info: I have installed Windows 10 about 5 times.
The first 4 it would only work until the first reboot because during the setup phase it would automatically install a faulty driver and on the first available restart my Windows would break and I would have to reinstall to get the laptop working again. However all metro apps worked fine before the first reboot.
The 5th time I switched my internet off and window 10 setup finished without internet. That means the faulty driver didn't automatically get installed so I had a chance to switch off the automatic driver installation. However it also meant Windows 10 didn't get activated during the setup phase. I switched internet on, activated Windows 10. Now my computer works fine but all Metro apps are greyed out and not working. For some of them the application crashes and others give me the error "This app can't open". I tried all obvious solutions
sfc /scannow and the DISM commandReinstalling them using: Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}Reinstalling them using PowershellStarting the Application Identity and App Readiness Services and a couple of other random suggestions I saw online. Apps :: Store Not Working
Oct 26, 2015Earlier, I went onto the app store to download a new game, but there wasn't any install button. Additionally, those spinning dots just stayed on the page not going away, even when I went back to the main page. I restarted my computer, but to no avail. I logged out on the store, but now I get an error whenever I try to log back in.
EDIT: This happens for every app and game, not just the one I'm trying to download.
Store Tile Is Not Transparent On Taskbar Anymore?
Jul 30, 2015Weird issue.... the Store tile and all modern apps originally looked nice with monochrome icons on my taskbar, but after restarting now they are showing as ugly tiles on my taskbar (i.e like it did in 8.1). Is there some sort of setting for this to put it back to the transparent icon on my taskbar?

Oct 27, 2015After downloading Windows 10, thing worked well for a few weeks. After trying to download "Windows Essentials", my entire system has been in disarray. I went back to a previous version of Windows 10 before the corruption, but now NONE of my native Windows10 apps will open. I receive the following error: "There's a problem with (whichever app). Contact your system administrator about repairing or reinstalling it."The PC App Store icon is gone completely (as is the Microsoft Edge app and icon), and when trying to open it through "Search", I receive the following error: "Problem With Shortcut: The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'PC App Store.lnk' refers to is unavailable. Oct 28, 2015Ever since I changed over to Windows 10, I have had a problem with using the "Safe Sender" option in Windows Live Mail. Everything else works great, but when I send an email address to Safe Sender, or add it manually, the name goes in the list but won't stay there if WLM is restarted. That is, the next time WLM is brought up again, the recent additions are missing again. It is as if the Safe Sender additions were only stored in temporary memory that is wiped out every time WLM is restarted.
I have repaired Windows Essentials in "Programs and Features" twice - to no avail.
Nothing submitted in Safe Sender will stay permanently on the list since Windows 10.
Apps :: Default Store Apps Corrupted (including Store)
Feb 10, 2016I am having some trouble getting the default store apps to work. As for the store itself, it used to briefly show the splash then crash. Now it is just an unknown file type that doesn't do anything when clicked. I have tried some of the more common fixes, like the powershell re-register scripts, but none work, all returning errors of one kind or another. At this point, would it just be easier to "Reset this PC", or is there another fix I may not have tried?

Aug 19, 2015I need to see if this is just me or what...I installed Win10 on my Surface Pro 3 without an issue, but since then I have had non-working live tiles on several apps: Weather, Tweetium, and People. Photos didn't work at first but has since started, although it scrolls through the same handful of my pictures over and over. I've checked and the live tiles are all turned on, and in each of these cases the tile is set at either wide (Tweetium and People) or large (weather).
I have submitted this issue for Weather to the feedback app and I noted that the non working live tile is the number one complaint. Are others having these problems with Tweetium and People too?
