Dec 21, 2015I was having the common problem updating to KB3122947, where it would simply fail to install. As far as I know, there were a few ways to resolve this, and I found the top answer here worked. Ever since, I've not been getting Mail notifications in the action centre, besides the fact that no settings have changed and I've checked both in the Windows settings and in Mail settings that they are enabled to notify.

Dec 8, 2015I would like to disable all Windows 10 system sounds except for the sound for incoming emails in Mail. I tried to do this but failed. I went to Settings - Personalization - Themes - Advanced sound settings, changed the Sound Theme to No Sounds and then changed New Mail Notification from Non to a sound. Clicked Apply and OK. However, there is no sound for incoming mails in Mail.

Dec 12, 2015I use Outlook 2016 as my e-mail program and it has always worked great. A few days ago I noticed that I was not getting some e-mail that had been sent to me. I know this because the e-mail was sent to a group. I had one of the group members forward the e-mail to me. I checked everything out in that message and it was totally correct. As a matter of fact 10 minutes earlier that same sender had sent another group e-mail and I got that one. The e-mail sender checked to see that the message was sent and not bounced back for some reason.
The problem has gotten worse, yesterday I almost got no e-mail and I know that I was sent a bunch of stuff. I even went to my neighbor and sent myself a test e-mail and it did not arrive. I am pretty sure it is not my system causing the problem because I have an Android tablet and it does not get the e-mails either. The thing that really has me puzzled is I am still getting some e-mail, mainly from advertisers.
I contacted my Internet Service Provider yesterday to see if they are having some problem. They are checking into it but there is nothing they are aware about.

Gmail does not display any incoming mail. Outlook.com will import them from Gmail, but will not itself display any incoming mail. Have resorted to using AOL.COM address as alternative mail address.

Mar 5, 2016Using Outlook 2016, Windows 10. In the last few days, I've started getting multiple copies of the same email. Not all emails, but most. Some, just two or three. Others, up to a dozen of the same email. I've got four accounts at two different servers (RoadRunner and GoDaddy) ... and it's happening to all four, which is why I think it's an Outlook problem.
Additional clue: Some of the emails I'm getting multiple copies of are from last month ... stuff that had been deleted many days ago.
First instinct is to look at my settings (both POP accounts), to see if things are set up correctly. But that makes no sense - up until two or three days ago, everything was working exactly the way it should. I haven't made any system changes, haven't installed new software ... can't think of anything that would've made this just start happening.
Browser/Email :: Attachments For Old Emails Don't Show Up In Outlook
Feb 10, 2016Upgraded both our Desktop & Laptop to Windows 10 in the past few months. Last week I tried to access some Outlook emails that were more than two years old, the attachments & emoticons do not appear. This is on both PC's & the same result using Edge, IE or Chrome.
I installed Windows Live Mail & now I can see all the attachments & emoticons. Forwarded some of the emails from Live Mail to myself & now in Outlook the attachments/emoticons all appear as well (all three browser Edge, IE & Chrome). So say for instance I have a 2 & 1/2 year old email in a Outlook folder that will not display attachments/emoticons but the very same email just forwarded from Live Mail to my Outlook inbox now displays all attachments & emoticons
Tried inspecting elements. See msgs regarding HTML, Java Script in Edge? Don't have either Java or Silverlight installed, guess the newer browsers are moving towards HTML.

Oct 9, 2015I upgraded to windows 10 and downloaded windows live mail, it works, but when I download new emails it deletes all old and unread emails.
Yesterday I turned on sync as suggested, then I downloaded 10 new emails, I opened 5 and left 5 unopened. This morning I downloaded my emails, as before all previous emails downloaded yesterday disappeared.
Action Center Icon On Taskbar Not Working
Aug 22, 2015I've tried everything short of resetting my pc to get my action center icon on my taskbar to function normally. Right now it will turn white like a new notification is available, but when I click on it nothing happens. Also..when I press the Ctrl + A keys, nothing happens. This is occurring on my ASUS T100TA touchscreen transformer book. I've even added the regsistry edit that Brink has posted in the tutorial section.

Jul 30, 2015So My computer is basically behaving as if quiet hours mode is activated, but quiet hours are NOT activated.
For example, if I get an email or plug in a new device, the only thing that happens is the icon for action center goes from clear to white.
This is only happening on my main user account, it is not happening on my admin account. I suspect that if I made a new account, the problem would not be present there either.
So because this problem only exists in one user account and not the other, it must be some system setting that was flipped for one account and not the other. But I have searched high and low for any notification settings and they all seem correct.
Action Center Does Not Update Notifications Anymore?
Sep 20, 2015i am using Windows 10 Pro since release as an upgrade from Windows 7 Prof., and most things including the new action center worked fine. But since three days now the action center is totally empty, shows only the "no new notifications"-message. All of my settings are still correct, my accounts in Mail App e.g. are still active (and showing my new mails if i open it), the action center settings to show banner+sound for Apps and programs are all ON, and every single piece of software i am using is working as intended, except the action center
I don't really know what's suddenly wrong? I did not install any new software or made a driver update. The only thing last days was an automatic update for Windows Defender, but i don't think that's causing the issue.
how i can get the action center back to work? Perhaps soem Windows services aren't running but i don't know which one could be responsible for the noticifations. I checked the installation with "sfc /scannow", no error. Would be nice to get the action center back, it's very annyoing if i need to have every program always open.
