changing email from paid for AT&T to Gmail - how do I export from AT&T or import into Gmail? Have an 8 year history of photos and medical info, not backed up anywhere in the AT&T email.
View 3 RepliesAfter the "November update" to Windows 10, the Edge browser no longer uses a folder structure to store favorites. Instead, it now uses an Extensible Storage Engine (ESE) database. So, that means you can no longer just do a copy-n-paste in an attempt to export your favorites. Anyhow, seeing how I didn't follow the instructions in my signature and have found myself corrupting my Windows system while heavily overclocking and stress testing the CPU on a custom water-loop, I have found myself wanting to export them to IE11 so that my MS account stores them for easy retrieval. (I have also just copied the folder to my backup drive too!)
So I wanted to work out how and this is my solution:
In File Explorer, navigate to your Edge Favorites:

Copy the links (aka favorites) to the folder [URL] favorites will now be in IE11 (If IE11 is currently open, you will have to close and re-open for the favorites to appear).If you want them to be imported to Chrome, Firefox or wherever, you can now import in the normal way.
I got an email from someone I have several addresses for, with the Mail client showing just the name of the sender, not the address the mail was sent from. I want to reply to a specific address, but also to know which address the email came from in the first place. In Live Mail I could check the email details and get lots of info about the email, including what address it was sent from.
View 9 RepliesI want to try Windows 10 mailapp, but I can't get it to work. I want to try with my Microsoft mail (it is a live.dk domain). When opening the maip-app first it wrote, the the mailserver did not exists. Then I typed in the microsoft mailserver used by Windows live mail program. But that don't work either. I can't find the setting to delete the windows mail-account that does not work.

Before the OS modifications it was OK. Now I have II7 error when I put my address in navigator.
My computer was updated early hours this morning, 13 December, but I notice now that my address book in my email Outlook is missing. How do I get it back? I presume it must still be there, somewhere!!
View 7 RepliesWindows 10 installed painlessly over my old Windows 7. In starting web browser, it always asks if I want to make it my default. I click "yes" and it then opens a window to assign a calendar and email address to the browser. I do not want a calendar or email address assigned to this user ID, but it will not accept a default browser without email address and calendar. How do I get past this? Everytime I open the browser it asks the default question, but will not accept as default without email and calendar assigned. I'm ready to go back to Windows 7.

I have successfully set up two email accounts through Mail for W10 and they're working fine , but there doesn't seem to be a junk folder. I'm expecting an email which has been resent three times and has probably been sent to junk box...but where is the junk folder ?

View 9 RepliesI would like to disable all Windows 10 system sounds except for the sound for incoming emails in Mail. I tried to do this but failed. I went to Settings - Personalization - Themes - Advanced sound settings, changed the Sound Theme to No Sounds and then changed New Mail Notification from Non to a sound. Clicked Apply and OK. However, there is no sound for incoming mails in Mail.

View 4 RepliesMy old computer crashed last week and I think I saw it coming, one of the very last things that I did was to back up all the emails and contact addresses from Windows. I cannot find how to restore them on to the new computer, in fact there are very few buttons in the new outlook or whatever it is called.
View 5 RepliesUsing Outlook 2016, Windows 10. In the last few days, I've started getting multiple copies of the same email. Not all emails, but most. Some, just two or three. Others, up to a dozen of the same email. I've got four accounts at two different servers (RoadRunner and GoDaddy) ... and it's happening to all four, which is why I think it's an Outlook problem.
Additional clue: Some of the emails I'm getting multiple copies of are from last month ... stuff that had been deleted many days ago.
First instinct is to look at my settings (both POP accounts), to see if things are set up correctly. But that makes no sense - up until two or three days ago, everything was working exactly the way it should. I haven't made any system changes, haven't installed new software ... can't think of anything that would've made this just start happening.
Upgraded both our Desktop & Laptop to Windows 10 in the past few months. Last week I tried to access some Outlook emails that were more than two years old, the attachments & emoticons do not appear. This is on both PC's & the same result using Edge, IE or Chrome.
I installed Windows Live Mail & now I can see all the attachments & emoticons. Forwarded some of the emails from Live Mail to myself & now in Outlook the attachments/emoticons all appear as well (all three browser Edge, IE & Chrome). So say for instance I have a 2 & 1/2 year old email in a Outlook folder that will not display attachments/emoticons but the very same email just forwarded from Live Mail to my Outlook inbox now displays all attachments & emoticons
Tried inspecting elements. See msgs regarding HTML, Java Script in Edge? Don't have either Java or Silverlight installed, guess the newer browsers are moving towards HTML.
Four days now and cant send emails!

However she uses Outlook.com for email and there is not an easy way to save the emails. If I do a clean install, will all her emails still be available?

View 4 RepliesI upgraded to windows 10 and downloaded windows live mail, it works, but when I download new emails it deletes all old and unread emails.
Yesterday I turned on sync as suggested, then I downloaded 10 new emails, I opened 5 and left 5 unopened. This morning I downloaded my emails, as before all previous emails downloaded yesterday disappeared.
When I receive an email on my computer, I see the sender's name but how do I see their email address? They name is not clickable and hovering the mouse over it does nothing.

Well in Windows 10, almost any time I try to type it, whether on my yahoo email or on any webpage, it comes out tomjones8@yahoo.com. At first I thought maybe I was accidentally hitting the 8 and adding it in myself, but now I'm very careful when I type it and it's like Windows auto-corrects it to that.
I may have once typed that into a form- I sometimes do just add a number onto my real email when I'm filling something out and want to make a dummy email, but it's like now Windows has decided that is my true email. It's causing serious problems because now if I ever miss that auto-correct it's done, I may send someone a bad email address. I read about turning off auto-correct and I don't want to do that, I just want it to recognize that tomjones@yahoo.com is valid.
Is there a way I can remove my email address from the user login?My user name is listed along with others who use the computer. I am prompted to enter my password. I would rather my email address not be shown.
