On my Windows 10 installation (Home, 64-bit), I have disabled "Show app notifications" AND "Show me tips about Windows".
However, every now and then a message pops up (from the "Action Centre" just next to the clock) stating "Language typing feature - Install typing features for your language".
I do not want to install any language features, how can I disable this?
Love Windows 10 so far, has exceeded my expectations. Apart from one annoying thing: the language typing features notification. I turned off windows tips in settings a while back and the notification stopped. But now it's back! How to get rid of it once and for all?

If I purchase a copy of Windows 10 Home in store or digitally, will I be able to use the product key in my current install without need to re-install?
View 7 RepliesI have a problem with a new Dell XPS 13 I bought in China. It apparently does not allow language packs, and I have a really hard time understanding most of the words. I tried returning the laptop and buying back in the USA, but the store didn't accept returns. Now I'm stuck with a basically useless computer that I bought for no reason and I need to install English onto the computer. Any ways I can do this?
View 1 RepliesI have been using Outlook for IOS for a few months now. It is by far the best Mobile/Desktop Email Client I have ever used. The Mail app in Windows 10 look very similar but is really lacking the features. Do they intend to bring the apps closer together in functionality? It would be a productivity powerhouse with the addition of the mobile features.
View 4 RepliesDevice is a windows 10 surface tablet (LTSB), that was working fine on a domain. Linked to a WSUS and has sccm installed.
I went into windows turn windows features on and off and enabled asp.net 4.5 or was it 4.6 and rebooted, now powershell does not work, certain application that require .net do not load. It complaining that .net is not installed and when I try installing .net 3.5 and even 4.6 ... It says its already installed but turned off in windows features.
Its happened twice now, the first time was when trying to install visual studio community. I got the tablet wiped/reimaged and put back on the corporate network. And Its happened again.
Can't even load gpedit, well it loads but then complains about mmc snap in when going into configuration....
I've done all the dism, sfc/scannow stuff. It came up with corruption but that's all repaired now...

Additionally, I constantly get notifications throughout the day that "Windows is adding features" and then immediately a notification that "Something happened and we couldn't install features". These notifications emanate from the language pack trying to install additional features namely Basic Typing, Handwriting and Speech. The language is the default English US. I tried changing it, to no avail, the problem persists.
I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10, and then did a clean install of Windows 10. I'm on a cellular connection, and the option to mark the connection as non-metered is grey'd out, so I cannot change it - but my Windows Update seem to be working just fine.
I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10 on my Toshiba Laptop (Satellite C55t Series - Touchscreen) and had to revert to former as I did not like the windows screen. The Title Bar, Toolbar and others did not have the usual color features.In other words, From Title Bar to Taskbar were all white/gray (or whatever it is). Having been so used to the features of Window 98 to Windows 8, I found it uncomfortable to use it.

What does this mean and if it means I can't run the app, what can I do about it? Do I have to find a Win 10 compatible version?
I recently did a Windows 10 clean install on two laptops, afterward I installed Intel RST on both of them using the executable (not F6 method). In Intel RST under performance features the only feature listed is Link Power Management; Dynamic Storage Accelerator and Smart Response Technology are both missing.The one laptop only has a HDD. The other has a SSD and a HDD in the CD drive bay.How can I get Dynamic Storage Accelerator and Smart Response Technology to show up? If Link Power Management is the only thing available is there any benefit to having Intel RST installed?

View 2 RepliesUp until today's updates Right Click when using Edge had very limited functionality however much to my surprise Right Click options now include Copy, Paste, Copy Link, Copy Picture and Save Picture. Still MIA is Create Shortcut but I won't hold my breath.
View 9 RepliesI recently upgraded Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.0. I have tried reinstalling Synaptics, removing and uninstalling Synaptics, disabling palmcheck, but it wouldn't work. It's annoying when you are playing a game that requires moving while pressing keys on your keyboard. I also have Synaptics 7.5 (19.0.10). The only way I can move my mouse while pressing any key is pressing (any key) + shift.

After upgrading to windows 10 i'm facing issue with typing. cursor stops blinking and gets disappear frequently , very difficult to type even a single word .
View 17 RepliesI installed an application "Clone File Checker" and uninstalled that using "iObit Uninstaller" with Power Unistall" option. After that, i am not able to open Control Panel, Programs & Features, Power Options and System from the Start Menu. Clicking on each of these gives an error in the enclosed screenshots, but all of them display the error message "This file does not have an program associated with it to perform this action. Please install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Defaults Program Control Panel". Only the file names are different. When I try to set the Default Applications, I do get a similar error message.
Moreover, clicking on the File Explorer from the Start Menu opens the Explorer screen, but when I pin to the Taskbar and subsequently attempt to open tit from Task Bar, I get an error message.
Is it possible to use sub-script and super-script when typing emails with Windows 10?
I was able to do this when using Windows 7 and typing documents but not for emails. I was expecting that with the major up-grade to from 7 to 10 it would now be possible.
I updated my HP Pavilion laptop to Windows 10 last weekend. Ever since then, I've had a problem any time I'm typing. I can't seem to type for more than 5 seconds without a left click happening on its own (sometimes it's a right click, oddly), which usually either opens a menu, moves where in the document/webpage I'm typing, or stops my typing altogether.

I've updated my drivers and my Bios. (From HP site) I've uninstalled and reinstalled the audio (Realtek) driver. This problem never happened in Windows 8. I'm about to switch back to Windows 8.
View 3 RepliesSince I upgraded to Windows 10, many things have been problematic. However, my issue currently is that the Date and Time keep popping up and remain popped up. I am referring to the one which shows and entire month calendar, along with the time, day, etc. It would usually occur upon clicking on the time and date in the lower left hand corner. Whenever I click that to get rid of the expanded version, it shows up again a few seconds later as if I clicked on it.

View 4 RepliesI have noticed a couple times while using my laptop that my ram and memory usage goes up while doing nothing. I go and check processes and find that store, calc, movies & tv, calendar and mail are all running even though I haven't opened them up. Are they updating in the background? I usually will just end them, but if there is a reason they are running than I'll just let them be.
