Update Got Stuck At 40% On Dell Venue Pro 8
Nov 13, 2015I just downloaded the update and when rebooted to install it. It got stuck at 40%. Is it the problem with Dell Venue Pro 8 in general or just me?

Sep 20, 2015So I made the mistake of upgrading my Dell Venue 8 Pro to Windows 10... It's very slow and buggy.
I tried using the built in "Revert back to Windows 8.1" option in the Settings "app", but it says that files have been deleted and it can no longer perform the uninstallation.
I also tried going into the tablet's built in Backup and Recovery from Dell, but that doesn't allow me to reinstall Windows 8. It's merely a diagnostic.

Sep 24, 2015I have tried upgrading my Dell venue 8 Pro many times from GWX, installation media and direct download in normal and also after reset of tablet with secure boot and also removing secure boot, removing fast boot and with fast boot using all permutations and combinations. Still I am unsuccessful. I am not finding any way to get support from Dell also. It goes to upgrade 91% always and then says going to reboot. But it reboots to windows 8.1.

Aug 10, 2015Just installed my Win 10 from Microsoft. All went well on the Venue 8 pro. Win 10 worked well with the Dell VN8P but if you put it to sleep by pressing the power button or it enters sleep itself after the time you set, it WILL NOT start back up when you press the power button. LED back light on but screen remains black.
You need to hold down the power button > 10 sec to shut down completely. The you can reboot and all works fine.
This was unacceptable for my use so for now I back out of Win 10 to Win 8.1 which works fine. Tried all kinds of Windows power settings and options. Nothing works.
Dell 11 Venue Pro (7140) / Delete Unused Recovery Partition After Upgrade?
Apr 7, 2016I have a Dell 11 venue Pro (7140) tablet and I upgraded to windows 10. My tablet comes with 128Gb and I found out that I have many recovery partition. I am not sure which one I can remove it using DISKPART. Below is what I seen on the Disk Management Screen. Only C drive has volume label of C.
1. 500MB healthy EFI system (100% free)
2. 40 MB Healthy OEM Partition (100% free)
3. 2.00GB Healthy Recovery partition (100% free)
4. 109.56GB Healthy Boot, Page File, Crash Dump, Primary partition (40% free) Volume OS (C:)
5. 450 MB Healthy Recovery Partition (100% free)
6. 6.59 GB Healthy Recovery Partition (100% free)
Dell Laptop Stuck In A Loop When Resetting
Nov 7, 2015URL... and now its been stuck on a screen that says "Installing Windows" at the top with a percentage and circle in the middle and a note at the bottom that it's installing features and drivers. However, it has been doing this for two full days now. It comes back up at 64%, goes to 100%, restarts, then goes through the same thing. I have a Dell laptop and no error messages come up at any time.

Feb 28, 2016I've discovered that the Win 10 November update is listed but is completely stuck at "downloading update" and never gets any further.
I've run "Troubleshooter" which found a couple of problems and fixed them but still no November update and i also see that the latest February update has "failed" as well.
Everything i try doesn't start the updates so i'm at a complete loss at what else to do.

Nov 1, 2015I am having problems installing Windows 10 updates...... again.
This update is dated 29.10.2015 and consists of 2 updates.
KB 3105210 states "waiting for download" and KB 3106932 states "waiting for installation" It has been stuck on this for several hours and my attempts to use the repair tools have failed to resolve the problem.

Aug 30, 2015I've been trying to update my windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for at least 10 times now and it always stuck at around 60% It reboots itself a few times and it always comes back to the circle screen with the % progress but getting around 60% it reboots and it gets stuck there... black screen, no cursor, no sound.

Windows update has been stuck at 45% for the last 3 hour's and usually my updates go pretty quick. I've tried rebooting my system to see if the updates will finish installing but then it goes right back to 45% and stay's there.

The Win 10 Ready to Install came up, so I clicked Start and it rebooted, back to the login screen, and then Windows Update came up saying it needed to Restart Now. Nov 12, 2015So after having numerous issues with my ASUS VivoTab Smart upgrading to Windows 10 (Sound issues, display driver issues, losing my Recovery Drive, etc) I finally got everything fixed and my tablet was finally running as wonderfully as it did on Windows 8.1..... For about a week.
And then this latest build for W10 comes out. I downloaded it and then attempted to install it
The system restarts to do the update with the circular progress bar but then gets stuck at 40%. I have had this problem on three different PC's in the past and all I did was power them off, boot up again, and then it would finish off the update with no further issues.
But that didn't happen this time. I powered off my Tablet and then started it up again. Instead of carrying on, W10 decides to cancel the whole update and roll me back to am earlier version of W10.
I thought I would try again and this time wait longer. Maybe I was impatient. Went through the process again, rebooted, started the update install and then stuck at 40% yet again. I figured I would just plug my tablet in and leave it while I slept surly it would finish by the time I woke up. Nope it was still at 40%
Powered it down because I couldn't do anything else, but it decided to roll back again. What's worse is that it seemed to have rolled back to a version of W10 prior to when I got everything fixed mentioned above. So now not only am I stuck with a dud upgrade that keeps trying to install after a period of time, but I have to fix all my previous issues again. How to resolve this update freeze?

Aug 1, 2015I had updated my Windows 7 to Windows 10 first and then wanted to do a clean upgrade. I followed the instructions but my computer seemed to be stuck on 'Resetting this PC at 1%' my laptop must have died during this and now every time I try to start up my laptop it gets to the load screen and then goes to black and then tries to reboot again. I'm lost at the moment.
