I can't get the desktop to properly size up on my screen. You can notice in the screenshot (in the lower right corner) that part of the taskbar is cut off. I have tried making adjustments via the NVIDIA control panel to no avail.
I'm using a 50" Plasma HDTV and it is hooked up to my PC via HDMI. My previous HDTV was a 42" LCD and I never had a problem with desktop size and position.

after installing a replacement GPU, RDP now only connects to the home server when i have "use all my monitors" enabled. If i have it unticked the session will try to open on my second monitor - which is connected to the onboard GPU, unlike the first, which is connected to the discrete one - as usual, but blurt out a connection error after starting to render the remote desktop. If i tick "use all my monitors" in RDP settings, a connection is made, but displayed on my main screen.
What do I keep doing to decrease the size of the icons on my desktop? It's not killing me, but it's INCREDIBLY annoying to have to resize the icons every three minutes. This never happened in Windows 8.1 by the way.
I swear the more I use Windows 10, the more I hate it. It is beyond a doubt the least friendly of all their OS'swhere do you go to change the desktop icon text size and font? or is it another Regedit thing?
I just installed Build 9879 over Windows 7 on a spare machine and it went as expected except for the size of the Icon fonts and size of the taskbar. They both are much larger than they were on Win 7. I can't remember how to make them smaller. I make the icons themselves smaller (medium) by using View on the desktop but the fonts and taskbar are way to big. How to reduce them under Win 10?
I wish to know if there is a way to change the font size/style (bold, etc.) of the icon labels ONLY on the desktop screen.
I've tried the Control Panel method (Appearance & Personalization -> Display) that allows me to change the fonts for 'ICONS'. However, this option also changes the appearance of fonts in the directories/filenames, which is not what I want.
E.g. Labels on the desktop with size 12 and bold. Fonts in folders: size 9 and UNbolded (default style).
So, I decided to just do a reinstall of Windows 10 after having a couple of issues and downloading software such as iObit that is questionable at best (just found that out, glad I did some research online) and everything has been going really smoothly in terms of updating programs, apps, etc., but I just found this weird glitch or bug if you will. Take a look at the screenshot attached. Doing the simple ctrl+mouse wheel will make the desktop icons larger or smaller, but for some reason the text size is still SUPER small. My resolution settings are normal for Windows 10 (250% recommended) and I've never encountered this issue before.
Every time i restarting Windows 10 by button RESTART from START in next boot i have Automatic Repair. On next boot i am able to boot fine to Windows 10. Event viewer showing that system was not closed properly, but it was closed properly. Software or hardware related?

I have some problems with Windows Spotlight feature. Everytime I select this as my lock screen, it seems loading, but ends showing the Windows 10 default lock screen picture. I tried to restart, update, did a clean installation of this Windows build, but nothing solves it.
Since Windows 10 downloaded, my Windows Live Mail will not let me open any of the links in my incoming emails? Is this some sort of security setting or default problem??
I've upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro. Everything is fine and Windows are working very smooth and nice. But there is one thing that really bothers me: Windows Search (including Cortana) does not find links to programs inside the Start Menu.
Now before you ask, I have re-built the Windows Indexer. Several times. I've also checked to see that .lnk files are being indexed. The Start Menu Folders (inside the c:Program Data and c:users[username]App Data) are both being selected as index locations. Actually, the search is able to find folders inside the Start Menu files, but not the files themselves.
Experiencing problem with the modern apps, where the content of the app is bigger than the actual app window, so it is impossible to use it, because the controls (buttons, input fields, scrollbars are not visible)?
Resizing of the app does not work, as the content is still bigger (its wrongly resizing with the window). Even maximized app is still unusable.
It occurs mainly in the Skype, Mail, People or Calendar apps. As you can see on the Skype screenshot, as soon as app starts it shifts the skype logo to the right, and the whole content is shifted as well.
You can also see the shift bellow, as the Options menu is partially hidden as well.
Skype is impossible to use, because the text input field on bottom is not visible.
I'm not sure what happened but I may have adjusted a window to a larger size manually. Anyway, my windows sizes are stuck on maximize. This Dell Inspiron 3537 came with the dreaded windows 8, concurred as awful by all users that I know...so I installed Windows 10 on it.
I have this weird thing about being able to use all the functions available?
Just wondering if its possible to change how windows interprets a size. 1024 is actually a kibibyte and not a kilobyte as advertised, and I'm wondering if I can some how edit the OS to read it in actual kilobytes.
I recently have started plugging in my laptop to a TV using HDMI to play a few games. However when I do so, the screen is cut on the TV display, so I miss an inch or two on each size. I have tried adjusting every setting under the sun on my tv, and laptop to try and change this without any success so I was wondering is there a program I can use to temporarily change the size of the windows display to bring it in by an inch. Obviously this would look odd on my laptop screen but would work on my Tv screen.
I can't see the size of each folder in Windows explorer. If I open the folder, I can see the size of the individual files, but not the size of the folder.
How to increase the size of the applet windows that windows 10 opens for, in this case "OPTIONS" under TOOLS in Media Player. In the screen shots attached the window simply gobbles up the dialogues and options under almost all register tabs.
One can also observe the same behavior under such windows of some other dialogue boxes of some other software applications i.e. (Preferences) Adobe's Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc. It is not the case with all applet windows, but only some. I am using a large Samsung 26" screen so the screen size etc. can't be the problem..
I am sure there is some setting somewhere that allows one to change the size. It is quite frustrating and security risk otherwise, not being able to access the settings of an application.
