Disable / Modify Win Hotkeys?
Aug 21, 2015i don't want to use to built-in windows key hotkeys such as win+D, win+S etc. how can i modify them or disable them altogether?

WIN 10 On my Surface (SP3), using Logitech K740 illuminated keyboard with Docking station.

Windows Hotkeys Not Working On Lenovo G580 Notebook
Feb 10, 2016I have a Lenovo G580 Notebook with Windows 10 installed. The issue is that the Windows hotkeys, that is Windows key and other letter combinations, aren't working. For example, normally, if I press Windows key + I, then the Settings app should open up or if I press Windows key + R, then Run should open up. But the Start screen opens up instead in all such cases.
This is happening since I have updated the Synaptics touchpad driver via Windows Update. If I uninstall the driver, then the hotkeys start working again. But as soon as I install the driver, they stop working. This was not happening with Windows 10 before, even when the Synaptics driver was installed. It has suddenly started happening couple of months ago. Also I cannot completely uninstall the Synaptics driver because my laptop came with it itself nor can I stop the driver from updating as it is an important driver and it needs to be updated to be compatible with Windows 10.
Customization :: Can Modify / Customize And Add To The Most Used List?
Jul 13, 2015Not sure what Microsoft is thinking, but the "most used" list...isn't functioning as you would expect. I want programs I launch often to go there, with the recent file list fly out, that's the most user-friendly feature brought over from Windows 7....
However, what Windows uses to identify "most used". I use one program every single day, it never appears.
A program I used a few times over a month ago is still in the list, when I chose to remove it, no other programs replaced it...why wouldn't the next most used program appear?
How do I set the number of programs to list...the number grows and reduces all on it's own...it's quite bizarre.
This would all be fine if I could CHOOSE to add programs to the start menu (The "real" one, NOT the "modern" one, with it's useless huge icons)..but...you can't!!!

Unable To Modify Startup Programs
Dec 17, 2015Windows keeps telling me to disable three programs that start when the computer does, but the 'disable' button in the startup menu on task master is grayed out and will not function. I have followed all the directions, which basically haven't changed for this version of windows and repeated the effort several times, but am unable to modify these programs.

Aug 28, 2015I read many people complain about the Start Menu on Windows 10, specifically about not being able to modify it like they could in Windows 7.
You actually can modify it, pretty easily. Simply open This PC, then click in the address bar and type "start menu". You can then go into Programs and create new folders, shortcuts, etc. And any shortcuts you create can be also pinned as a tile from the All Apps section. And you can have Cortana launch them too.

I downloaded and installed the key to disable only to find it didn't work so I tried to manually do it by changing the number from 0 to 1 only to find its already at 1.
I also tried going the user passwords2 to find the box to disable ctrl alt disable login is already ticked, but is greyed out meaning I can't untick the box.

On my old keyboard the functions could be performed by only pressing the function key. There was no need to also press FN.

Aug 1, 2015I just upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 and I am disappointed to see that some of my programs are now blurry. I had encountered this problem before when I installed Windows 8.1, but somehow I was able to fix it.
I can remove the blurriness from individual programs by manually disabling dpi scaling on each program, but I would like to do this system wide.
When I try to edit the display settings through the control panel, the changes I make result in everything on the screen being too small for me to read. I can't seem to get everything right how it was when I was running Windows 8.1.

Aug 9, 2015I am just going to say up front that I don't have the Pro version of Windows 10 so I have no Group Policy Editor otherwise I would have fixed this problem in less than a minute instead of wasting over a hour trying to fix this.
I want to disable this on the screenshot for any future files I download. I searched online but every post says I have to use gpedit.msc which I don't have. I am getting very frustrated. I don't want to mess around in the registry. Some one just link a .reg file to disable this annoyance so I can just import it and be done.

Did some searches and a lot of people says to disable hardware acceleration, not sure if this is the case but figured I try it. Most tutorial on how to do this is either windows 7 or 8 and I can't seem to find how to do this for windows 10.
