I am writing a process for a hospital application in the UK
We have a concept of "Takes" which are periods to which patients coming into hospital are assigned to and thus the consultant (specialist) who looks after them.
They are fixed times between 0800-2000 (Day take) and 2000-0800 (+1) Night take.
I have written the following function to try and determine which take a patient should be assigned to based on the time now to power various queries to enable the end user to quickly see "today's day take" and "yesterday's take"
Testing it I seem to not be able to hit the right "Take times" in my output. I suspect it's a problem with the way I'm initiating my variables as Today 0800 and Today 2000
Code: Function GetTakeStarttime() Dim StartTime As Long Dim EndTime As Long Dim CurrentTime As Long Dim YestStartTime As Long
I'm trying to run a query with an expression so that the number of occurances with a date time field are counted but I keep getting an aggregate values error.
Prod 1 Prod 2 Prod 3 Prod 4 Count Feb 1 12:01 Feb 1 13:56 2
Hello buddies :D, do you have any idea how to make this work?
To select data that falls within this criteria of date range between cboDate and cboDate2 (fields on my form). The date in [tblJobDetails]![timeIn] come in this format "08/17/06 10:24 AM", but the cboDate/cboDate2 (takes in date only e.g 08/17/06) what i am after is to evaluate specific hard coded time in addition to the date entered, i.e. even tho, i haven't entered time on the cboDate/cboDate2, I want specific time hard coded where e.g If i select a date range of 08/17/06 and 08/18/06 on my cboDate and cboDate2 it should really be evaluating: 08/17/06 8:00 AM to 08/18/06 8:00 AM.
This is the criteria i curentlly have on my query in design view tha works perfect in selecting date only. ([tblJobDetails]![timeIn]>=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate] Or [tblJobDetails]![timeIn]>=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate] Is Null) And ([tblJobDetails]![timeIn]<=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate2] Or [tblJobDetails]![timeIn]<=[Forms]![frmPendingJobs]![cboDate2] Is Null) How can I incorporate 8:00am to 8:00am into my cboDate and cboDate2. What can i do to make this happen? Your kindness will be greatly appreciated http://www.naijaryders.com/forums/images/smilies/thankyou.gif
We have a special reduced rate that a client must prepay 12weeks before or sooner if a date is put in the [OverRideDate] field
I have been trying to construct a Query / If statement or should I use case statement to work out the actual payment date. Taking in to consideration all our funny little variables like
I will try to put the variable into words
[DateOfArrival]-84Days unless [OverRideDate] & Not Less than today then check its not a [ClosedDates] from the tbl_ClosedDates Then if it’s a Sunday –1 day as the accounts lady doesn’t work on a Sunday
Their simple????

I have a database with date and time each stored in a separate field. Now I want to query the database based on a start date/time and an end date/time. I started with the code below but it only returns events within the same time range on each day when what I really need is every event from a specified date and time through a specified date and time.
SELECT myTable.ID AS myTable_ID, myDate, myTime, FirstName, LastName FROM Staff INNER JOIN myTable ON Staff.ID = myTable.StaffID WHERE myTable.myDate >= #3/2/2014# AND myTable.myDate <= #3/3/2014# AND myTable.myTime >= #8:00PM# AND myTable.myTime <= #11:00PM# ORDER BY myDate desc
In the above example what I want is every event from 3/2/2014 8:00PM until 3/3/2014 11:00PM. But what I get instead is every event between 8:00PM and 11:00PM on 3/2/2014 and every event between 8:00PM and 11:00PM on 3/3/2014.
Im a relative novice with access VBA, and I'm really struggling with using Dcount with date variable. All I want to do is count if a certain date appears in a table. Here is the extract from my code:
Whatever dates are in tblworkoutlogs, datecount is still = 0...I've trawled the net and tried many variations of the code but no success!if I change all the date formats to strings in the code and the tables, it works so I know i'm looking in the correct place.
I have a table that contains dates (Saturday through Friday). When I set up my query, I would like data returned where the date in a field is between the Saturday date and Friday date. Is there anyway to do this n the query without hard coding the dates in and manually changing the dates every week?
I've been struggling with getting a report to simply count records (I don't need any detail other than the counts). Here is what I have:
Table CompressorRoundsT contains these fields (many more actually but these are the ones I care about for this purpose):
Date, Shift, Round
Possible records in the shift field are 1st, 2nd, 3rd and the round field has Rnd 1 and Rnd 2.
For each date, I need to count the number of records per shift and per round. For example, the report should show that on June 7th, 1st shift has 14 records for round 1 and 14 records for round 2. Same for 2nd and 3rd shift. I don't need any other details of what the records contain, just the counts.
I've had some success but the layout ends up too spread out because it is including the individual records instead of just showing the counts and it isn't grouping the way I want.
It's a report for management to see how many readings (rounds) were missed in a period of time.
I have a MS Access database that tracks when packages are received, returned, etc from different agencies. I need to create a query or report that shows how many packages were received, returned, etc PER MONTH, PER AGENCY. I was able to create a query that listed all the "Date Pkg Rec'd" dates for October (Between #10/1/2004# and #10/31/2004#), but I don't want a listing of all of the dates, rather a total of the records within those timeframes PER AGENCY. For example, APHIS 10, FAS 3, etc.
The other problem I have is I need this done across many columns without excluding those records without an October date (for example) in them. For example, I could have a "Date Pkg Rec'd" date in October, but not an October date listed in the "Date Pkg Returned" column.
Basically, I need the simpliest way to generate monthly "record totals" for several fields.
I have a report reporting events that occurred today, using =Date() in the query.I want to have a control/box on the report which shows today's date by default, but enables me to select a different date with the outcome that the report refreshes and shows the events on the selected date instead.
Maybe I need a form for this although I would like to do conditional formatting so a report is better. It would also be good to be able to sort by column values, as in a table on a webpage with sort controls in the column headings which work just by clicking.
I have a table with only two fields and one record: BegDate and EndDate (beginning and end date of the reporting period respectively). I also made a function with variables that look up those values for use as a date parameter in a query.
Here is the code:
Option Compare Database Option Explicit Public Function getCurrentRepDates() As Date Dim dtBegDate As Date dtBegDate = DLookup("BegDate", "tblCurrentRepDates")
[Code] ....
I am getting a syntax error for the line marked red. How can I use "Between" function in VBA code? Access 2010
I have a table that has entries recorded with date and time in one field, and I want to have a query that returns all records of a specified date or date range, regardless of the time in the field.
I have tried
Code: Between [StartDate:] And [EndDate:]
And
Code: Between [StartDate:] & "00:00" And [EndDate:] & "23:59"
I have a database that stores information for lab testing. Each time a tech does a "step" in the test process he logs it in the table, using an input form. There are different categories, for example preparation, testing, analysis, etc, and each of those steps take time. I have the form autopopulate the date and time with NOW() evertime the form is updated. What i want to do is calculate the time it takes to do each in days. I can easily get how many days it was from now since they logged the test, =NOW()-TestDateTime. What I want to do is get the number of days it took to do each step, ie the number of days between each event. Is there a way to do this?
I have an attendance database and I connect the time attendance machine db to my access db, what i am trying to do is to generate a report that shows the time in and time out for specific date. the type of attendance db is date/time.
Please see the attached screenshot db from attendance machine.
an also some time there is duplicate entry, I need to get the first and the last entry only for specific date.
I received help on previous threads. Basically, I have built a query to group by course title and then select the number of students that were assigned a course during a specifc time frame. Is there a way to show multiple columns in the query. For example my query now shows, enrollment for March, I would like to column next to it to show enrollment for Feb and then another column for Jan.
This is my current sql view.
PHP Code: SELECT tblContent.Title, Count(*) AS [Students Assigned] FROM tblProfile INNER JOIN tblContent ON tblProfile.LoginName = tblContent.LoginName WHERE (((tblProfile.LastName)<>"Demo" And (tblProfile.LastName)<>"Care" And (tblProfile.LastName)<>"Robins") AND ((tblContent.Code) Like "NH*") AND ((tblProfile.Groups) Not Like "*Professional Development Center*" And (tblProfile.Groups)<>"All Users,Professional Development Center") AND ((tblProfile.Delete)<>Yes) AND ((tblContent.Type)="Learning Track")) GROUP BY tblContent.Title, tblContent.[Date Assigned] HAVING (((tblContent.[Date Assigned])>=#3/01/2004# And (tblContent.[Date Assigned])<=#3/31/2004#));
I have a date/time text field on a form with the General Date format and a combo box next to it that has sequencial times as the row source (IE. 12:45 AM, 1:00 AM, 1:15 AM, 1:30 AM, ETC.) When the user chooses a time in the combo box, I want the time portion of the text box to be updated with the chosen time in the combo. I have tried a few things but cant seem to get it right.
so i created a system to have events booked, and i am trying to check time availability of the event room available, but i dont know what wrong. it either my query or vba code. i have attached the attachment,
I have a table that tracks different events and the actual date they occurred. I am trying to write a query that counts the number of each event that occured by month. One issue I am having is if an event had no occurrence during a month I want to return 0 raher than no data for that event.
Hello there ! I had a few problems yesterday with Dcount in a text box in a form but with your help I cracked it Below is the function I used =DCount("[PFP Number]","MAIN Table Do not delete","[PFP Number] = '" & [PFP Number] & "'")
The form is based on a table called Invoice PFPs The Table contains a list of PFP Numbers (bit like part numbers) there are no duplicates in this table I also have a "Main Table do not delete" with 26000 claims in it each of which has a PFP Number. The form has a text box in that matchs the PFP Number in the form with the same PFP Number in the MAIN Table and counts them. his works fine with the above function
What I now need is it to count if the PFP Number matchs only if the date specifyed in the function matchs the claim process date (e.g 01-Dec-06 or 01-Jan-07 etc..) in the Main Table Hope this makes sense ?
Wonder if someone can help please. I'm quite new to Access so please bear with me.
I have a data field in my database consisting of both a date and time.
I then have a form containing two fields where the user can type a 'To' and 'From' date to extract the records that they are interested in. The query behind this uses the 'Between[Enter The Date] And [Enter The Date]' coding.
The problem is that because the field contains a time it doesn't return any records when I run the query.
Can anyone offer a bit of guidance on how I could ignore the time part of the field perhaps by adapting the above.
I have a column/field named [DateTaken] which contains test dates and times in the same cell. I am needing to find those with a test time less than 2:30 pm or <14:30pm.
Suppose I have a table with a variety of fields; one autonumber, some text fields and some date fields.
I need code to calculate the number of fields that are NOT date fields and then code to count how many of those fields (the ones that are not date fields) have data in them.
Following is the code to count how many fields in a table had data and this works well, but now I need to find a way to ignore the date fields. How can this code be modified to do the same but ignore the date fields?
Code: Public Function PercentCompleted(Table As String, IDProject As Long, TotalFields As Single) As Double
Dim sampO As DAO.Recordset, iCtr As Long, strSQL As String, Percent As Double 'Takes the fields based on the projectID strSQL = "SELECT *" & _ "FROM " & Table & " WHERE IDProject = " & IDProject Set sampO = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset(strSQL)
