i need to execute a ssis(sql 2005 integration service) on a document document library . can you people help me out how i can do it
i want to make a work flow which initiate when new document upload in a moss document library and this work flow pass the document to a ssis package and initiate that ssis package
note: the database and moss servers are on different machine
After configuring SSRS integration with SharePoint (MOSS 2007) I am unable to deploy a report from visual studio to a document library. The error message from visual studio is "The file you are attempting to save or retrieve has been blocked from this Web site by the server administrator." and "A connection could not be made to the report server <http://sharepoint server link>". I have verified that .rdl, .rds and .rsds files are not blocked in SharePoint. Does anyone have ideas what this might be? Are there other file types I need to worry about?
I am trying to create a Data Connection Library linking an SQL Database to SP2013. I have been unable to locate instruction or where in SP Central Administration to create the library. The option to Create Data Connection is not available.I am creating an InfoPath form to create-read-write-update data in the SQL database.
I'm new to SSRS 2005, and having a very hard time getting something I thought would be trivial to work. It would appear that if you want to report from XML data, there are a variety of ways to do so.
I would just like to use a simple document that was created by serializing to disk. I don't even have a fancy query. Can someone help me with an start-to-end from which I can build upon and add complexity? Thanks.
C:XmlDataCustomers.xml contains a single Customers table; 3 Customer rows with an ID, FirstName, LastName. (I'll try pasting it as a follow-up).
My DataSource type is 'XML' and the ConnectionString is the simplest of URLs "C:XmlDataCustomers.xml". Credentials are set to 'none'. My suspision is that I am not even succeding at creating a valid DataSource. I don't know if it has to do with the XML, the location of the file, the syntax of the ConnectionString or what.
Assuming I get this right, I want all rows and all columns, so I assumed an empty query on the DataSet would be appropriate.
I've found a bunch of examples - but none seam to be this trivial - they all involve using a web service, embedded data in the query, or creating a Customer Data Extension (CDE) to provide the document. I've tried converting these samples to use my DataSource, but so far no luck.

I have a custom folder layout for reporting services on our test environment so each tester can test the reports against the data in their own instances. The developers have reports in a different layout that's more in line with what will be in production. So I figured some simple RS scripting would handle things.
It was easy to create the folder structure, easy to create the shared data sources in each testers reports folders, and easy to deploy the report from the developers folder (source) to the testers report folders. However, when I try to use SetItemDataSources to change the data source in the newly duplicated reports, I keep getting an error telling me that the data source cannot be found.
Here's the relevant code fragment:

Each tester has their own folder off the main reports folder "Reports", with an incremental number, as in "Tester1". Each testers folder has it's own Data Sources folder. There is only one data source for all reports, "OLTP".

I even went into SQL Server Management Studio and tried changing the (now broken) data source setting for a report to point to the correct data source (OLTP), then copied the generated script, then ran it - and still got the data source cannot be found error. That's what my latest code shown above was based on.
I am testing an application that uses mysql that works 100% fine with Microsoft Windows XP on Windows Vista Premium Home Edition.
Using Vista's ODBC Data Source Administrator I have set up and successfuly tested the DSN Connection to the Database.
However, when I call the set up DSN with the application I get [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified.
I am using the mysql-connector-odbc-3.51.12-win32.
I have tried editing the registry DSN files - the problem still persists.
All examples I found refer to classes under Microsoft.SharePoint namespace. However, I have the SharePoint CSOM that only gives me the Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client namespace.

We have set up reporting in sql 2005 so that we can report from a MOSS 2007 list. At the moment the report is created with all the data from within the list. How could i create a filters so that the user can generate a report by name and date?
We are using xml to pull data from a custom sharepoint list into sql 2005. We have set a parameter that allows the user to filter the data by surname, however when the user tries to filter the list the drop down box brings up a list of every record, so there are duplicate entries for each surname.
Is there a way of filtering this so that there is only one instance of the users surname instead of it showing all the records?
Moss 2007 is installed on one server while sql2005-Sp2 is installed on a seperate server. I installed the web front-end of sharepoint services 3.0 on my report server. I also changed the port of my default website from 80 to 8080 so that they dont conflict.
I run the reporting service configuration app and created a new report database that had sharepoint integration switched on. Furthermore I created a new app pool in IIS that has a domain account instead of network service (as described in the microsoft instructions) and used another domain account as the windows service identity .
After that I installed the sharepoint add-in on the moss 2007 server. After doing so the reporting configuration app showed a green light for sharepoint integration. I went to application management and found the section for reporting services.
Now... allthough Manage integration settings and Grant database access work the third option "Set server defaults" produces the following error:
An unexpected error occurred while connecting to the report server. Verify that the report server is available and configured for SharePoint integrated mode. --> Server was unable to process request. ---> The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.
When I try to access the report server through http: i.e. http://bla:8080/reportserver I get :

I have setup the Sharepoint 2007 Reporting Services add-in and am running into an issue. I was able to get a report to show up in a report viewer webpart once, but after that, I receive a message similiar to the following (for all reports);

I have few reports under different folders in Report Manager. Is there a way to set the data source for the whole folder rather than each report individually? There is also a folder where reports generate dynamically. Since the report project doesn't exist anymore, I can't set the data source through code. How can I set the data source for the whole folder?
Historically I've always written a VB script to copy a file from a sharepoint library. I don't like this method because I have to input a username & password in the script and maintain a config file.
Yesterday I was playing around with using a file system task. The sharepoint file has a UNC path so why not? I created a simple test package with a single file system task that copies the sharepoint file (addressed via UNC) to another network location. Package runs fine locally.
I try running on our utility server but am getting a "The file name [SHAREPOINT UNC PATH] specified in the connection was not valid" error. Package is running with a proxy on the server and the proxy account has the same permissions to the sharepoint site (so far as I can tell) as me.
trying to install sql server2005 on a windows 2003 server box.
getting msg below at the sql server . i looked at other posts on trying to uninstall SQL Native Access Client and norton antivirus. i could never find the snac on the add - remove programs and this server does not have a virus protection program yet.
here's the history of the installs on the server:
wanted to test a 2005 upgrade so:
1) installed sql server 2000 then sp4 then restored some databases to it - all OK
2) tried to upgrade to sql 2005 but ran into problems and left it at that.
had a disk drive crash on the d drive so lost the installs but not the operating system
when the drive was replaced, left alone for a while
then wanted to test a straight 2005 install
1) removed the broken 2005 attempt
2) removed the 2000
3) installed 2005 and got the error on the subject line:

i've gone through as many of the forums that i can and have tried several things - like uninstalling 2005 and installing pieces and parts but but nothing seems to work.
i am attempting to run phpbb using ms sql 2005 on the same box but get the following error during the setup

i am not sure yet if this is an issue with sql, php or phpbb
php is installed in iis and has all the modules installed which the php msi installer supported. i can run php code but in this case when i'm running the install.php file for the phphbb setup, i fill in the values for the database and got that error
phpbb detects all the required server settings and sees that i have ms sql installed
any suggestions on what that error means or how to go about configuring odbc driver?

I'm trying to get data from AS400. using OLEDB source as my connection. i'm using IBM OLEDB provider for iSeries. and working on standard edition of SQL Server 2005.
While using OLEDB source task when i set my access mode to 'table or view' and try to see list of available libraryname.tablenames, i do not get and tables
where as when i use Data access mode as 'SQL Command' i can get data (can only see preview of data) from AS400 but not able to insert that into my destination table. At run time task Fails with the error mentioned below.
I have configured Data links tab inside the OLEDB connection manager also, but when tried to set a default library it gives me error. : "Error code :CWBZZ5042" - ( catalog is invalid ) but it does exist.
Is there some settings that needs to be done from AS400 side or SQL Server side to view the available libray and its tables ?
Can some one help me on the same.

I've got a report that is using a cube as a data source and I can't get the report to show all the data. Only data at the lowest level of the cube is displayed. The problem is that most of the data I'm concerned with is at higher levels. There's no problem with the MDX. I get the correct results when I run the query.
I'm using a table to show the results. I've also tried a matrix, but I get the same results. I'm using SSRS 2005 and SSAS 2000.
Anyone have experience with this? Am I missing something simple?

Whenever I update the report model I need to reassign the new report model as a data source.
Since I have more than 1 report model I would like my script to check which report model the report uses so I can update just the reports that use the updated report model.
What is the property or which method I call to get the data source the report use?

Hello, I've created a Report Model Project that can be used by Report Builder to generate ad-hoc reports. I'm trying to create a connection string in my Report Server Project that points to the Report Model Project data source view.
All I can do is create a regular datasource, which bypasses the metadata contained in the Data Source View.
Basically I want my Report Server Project and my Report Builder reports to leverage the same metadata. Is this possible? If so how do I get the connection string?
I prepared an OLAP cube for the report data source in the SSAS 2005. The OLAP cube consists of more than 20 dimensions and several measure groups. I then created the subset/view of the OLAP cube using the "Prepective" function and limit to not more than 7 dimensions on each of the subset. How do I reference the OLAP cube subset as the data source when developing the report in the report designer. Furthermore what is the advantage of creating multiple smaller OLAP cubes with less dimensions comparing to one big OLAP cube with several subset/view attached to it. Thanks.
This is a question regarding the use of an XML data source within an SSRS sub-report. This is a two server configuration consisting of SSRS 2K5 and a separate file server exposing xml files over http, IIS 5.
Is it possible, and if yes how, to configure the xml data source to use the application pool identity instead of the current caller identity? I can not turn off impersonation within SSRS. I need to revert to use the W3WC, app pool, process identity within the xml data source. I do not want to configure Kerberos delegation and the file server€™s IIS virtual directory must be set for windows security.
How does the report model know what data source view to use? I could not find it defined anywhere in the .smdl file.
My problem is this. I have a Report Model project with two data sources, two data source views and multiple report models. When I try and bind a data source to an entity in the report model I do not get to choose which data source view to use to choose what table/view I want to bind the entity too and only the tables in one of my DSV's shows up. When I first created it, it worked fine. It automatically selected the correct view and table and was successfully created but now when I open the project, that correlation is lost.
