I have a cell in one of my reports that displays both a begin time and an end time. The problem is that the times are stored in military time and I need to display them in AM/PM format.
Currently I am doing the following:

in order to present the two times in one cell in AM/PM format. While this works, I'm wondering if there is a way in Reporting Services layout mode to give a date or time format mode to a cell that will work for two times with a dash in between them, rather than simply for one time. Then I could pull the times in the format that they are stored on the database and use Reporting Services to format them. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hi, I'm working with MRS and I've got a table with a lot of entries. For each value in the table I'm trying to get the text colour to be set to 'red' when the value of the cell is less than 0. Otherwise remain black.
I can do this by setting the colour property cell by cell. But I have a lot of cells in the table. Is there a way to set the statement to apply to ALL cells in the table?
Basically I'm asking if there is a way to set the property in bulk instead of going through tediously cell by cell.
 I have created an SSIS package which processes daily financial information to a sql server database.  These processes are to be outputted to excel spreadsheets to a readable report format for management to review.  Some of these reports are laid out in a way that is not just tabular output but requires customized placement of data on an excel spreadsheet to specific cells. Â
I am able to place an initial resultset of a query output from the database in a tabular excel template through SSIS but the issue is at the end of that placement in the spreadsheet I am required to place another output below that tabular output in a different format from the initial output which I have shown below.
I want a ssrs report with two tables adjacent,using same data set. I want to start row number/records in second table where rownumber of first table ends.and in second page first table should start where second table of first page ends.
My stored procedure give me top 3 activities. My SSRS report design, I am able to display first activity when I select the Activity field from the Stored procedure, how to display 3 activities for each category.. Also I need a solution to sort the categories based on the requirement below.
I am trying to split cells that are merged as part of a grouped report. Am using the right-button menu and pressing "Split Cells" when it appears but it just splits into two parts and not into single cells or rows. When I right-button on one of the parts that came out of the split, I do not get a "Split Cells" to break it down further. Want to be able to split the grouped cells into individual cells or rows and have the rows be different colors. How can I do this?
i have a ssrs report in which i have creating rows with heading of months name from jan to dec i.e. jan|feb|mar|apr|....i have a parameter start date.i want when i enter start date from march supoose i enter date 03/22/2015 then display months from mar to dec.

I have to map this column in teh report and should dipslay like above.I think if 0.00 is available then it should display as 0..If 1.0 is available then it should display 1.Any value that has postive number after the decimal should display all the values  example : 2.25,3.75,5.06, So in general the solution to display values like 1.75,1,0 we should not dispaly 0 as 0.00 and 1 as 1.00 and 2 as 2.00 and so on...Any Solutions in terms of SQL query  or SSRS expression.
I am new in SSRS 2012.I have created a rdl,in this rdl, am having a row group.In this report, other two columns has multiple rows and some rows having data and some other rows doesn't have data.So I want to create rows when the row of that particular column has any data or need to merge vertically with the row having data and row don't have data of particular column along with the Common Row Group Data
I've implemented and tested cell level security on the cube. It's testing certain level conditions, and returns #N/A (as normal) when the user is not supposed to see the cell value. Since I always use .FormattedValue in my reports, works fine in Report Services (and Excel and ProClarity, etc.)
Here's the problem:
When RS parameters encounter this situation, the parameter dataset "breaks" (The following system error occurred: Type mismatch.) This is happening, because the parameter fields (ParameterValue, ParameterCaption, ParameterLevel) are being replaced by #N/A, due to the cell level security. This is happening, because these are actually defined as members, and hence passing through cell level security.
What I need to do is find a way to have these specific members bypass the cell level security, so that the parameter datasets still work. (Failing that, a new way of specifying parameters in MSRS.)
I've tried the following a a cell level security rule, but it doesn't seem to work:
[Measures].CurrentMember is [Measures].[ParameterValue] or [Measures].CurrentMember is [Measures].[ParameterCaption] or [Measures].CurrentMember is [Measures].[ParameterLevel] or [Measures].[Is Visible]
I€™ve build a report in reporting services 2005, based on a MOLAP cube (Analysis Services 2005). In the cube I€™ve enabled drillthrough.
I know that we can define drillthrough in the report by clicking on one of the members of the dimension hierarchy, but that€™s not what I want. I want to be able to drillthrough on a cell. Is there any way how to do that in Reporting Services 2005?
I am trying to create an SSRS report to display a single row of Household information (from CRM Dynamics) Household being the Parent Entity, with 1:N relationship with Contact Entity.
How would I go about showing all the Firstnames (from Contact) in the same cell like the below?
on this report, am having ids separated by '^'.when I export to excel, I wrote the expression as
=Replace(Fields!Id.Value,"^",Environment.NewLine)
It is working fine, but the problem is if I have only one id in some scenario, then this case that cell is showing an error "The Number in this cell formatted as text or precedence by apostrophe" .But in other scenario,If the ids are separated by "^", then this case that cell wont show any error. So I need to display the cell wont have any error symbol  if I have only one id .How can I achieve this?.
I have an SSRS report with groups that when exported to excel contains drill-in's (plus marks on left side). The issue I have is that for all the groups in the drill-in, those cells become merged. I want to keep the group drill-in but have the cells UNMERGED. I have heard this can be done with the RDL XML but I don't know what to modify to accomplish this.Â
I am using VS 2010 and the SSRS that came with it. I am sure its SSRS 2008. Anyway, I added a report file to the project, added an ObjectDataSource and connected this to SQLServer 2008, and display the dataset on the report. The report is using ScriptManager, ReportViewer1, and Report1.rdlc file. I preview the dataset and I have multiple row returned. The problem is I only have one row displayed on the report. Maybe I did a quick and dirty report? What setting of properties did I missed?
I have a file directory of tiff images that I need to display dynamically with reporting services. I receive the following error message: "The value of the MIMEType property for the image €˜image1€™ is €œimage/tiff€?, which is not a valid MIMEType." After looking it up sure enough tiff is not a valide type. Does anyone know of a way to display tiff images in reporting services.
I have Successfully deployed the report in Report Server. And i also successfully called it from Web application using VS 2005.
But the problem is,I am able to view only half of the report in Web Browser.It was Shrinked to Left side of the browser. I am getting total report when i browse from Report Server URL directly.
I have a report where in I want to show each record on a separate page.
So, to achieve that I took a single cell from table control, expanded it and used all the controls in that single cell. This looks nice so far.
Now, I also have to show a sub grid on each record. So I took a table control and added on the same single cell and tried to add a parent group to the table row.
When I preview, it throws this error.
"The tablix has a detail member with inner members. Detail members can only contain static inner members."
What am I doing wrong? How can I achieve table grouping inside a table cell?
I have a report created in Business Intelligence Project.I want to trigger my report result. If it has no returned value, it creates error message displayed on the screen. How could I do this? Any guidance please.
I have created a table and want to display a datset. One of the fields in the dataset is 'month' which I need displayed across the top of the report. The other information should make up the rows.
How do I get it to list the Month across the page rather than down?
