I have created a stored procedure for retrieving column name, as shown below
CM_id, CM_Name, [Transaction_Month], [Transaction_Year], [Invoice raised date],[Payment Received date],[Payout date],[Payroll lock date]
Now I am trying to create a temporary table using the above generated coluimns from Stored Procedure with datatype.
In the Operating environment databases, may be made tables in the database on a temporary basis but they are still yet and they are not removed, how to identify tables that have been made on a temporary basis are not used (don’t have any read & write records)?

Already granted securityadmin but still user does not have permission to perform this action.
We have one table where we store all documents in one of the column called "Doc" with varbinary(max) data type.
We want to download those documents from sql table to windows explorer and i wrote BCP in sql 2005. And things were fine.
The format file I used there looks like this,

1 SQLBINARY 0 0 "" 1 Doc ""
Now we are in 2014 and when I try the same code with same format file, it hangs in the middle. So I changed the file to 12.0 instead of 9.0 but still not working.
in my environment I am running the SQL Server agent job.i am getting below message.

After the installation I cant create new models because on an error saying that "Must declare the scalar variable "@Version_Id". "
I can see that the tables gets created in the MDS database but the models dont show up in the web interface.
I get the same error message when I try to deploy an old model.
we have roughly 22 people connected to one database. But after a while, their applications begin to drag due to in and out communication with the server. When i check the active connections on the sql server, some times i see 157 active connections, please how to i set a timeout or connection interval close, so as reduce the heavy load being put on the server. Or how can i automatically close connections when they get higher than 50 connections.
This settings should be sql server 2008 related.

How much of an issue will this cause the Clustered Index as far as page splits? I was thinking Fill Factor of 70%.I would normally just test and still will on Dev box, but my Dev box is much smaller than production as far as power.

I have view something like

But we have a different "Schema" for same table because we have archive table with same table name but with different schema name. Now we have req to make view which contain data of all table. But I can't seem to figure out how to do it in a view.

SQL server, by-mistake I updated values of a column in a database hosted online, is there any way undo the transaction. I didn't created any backup of the database. I read that still it can be recovered through the .ldf (log file) but unable to access it. Is there anyway to get access of the Log file or is there any way to recover the data.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm being asked to create multiple filegroups for a new database based on the table type, transaction, lookup, misc... From what i'm reading this doesn't make sense. I'm reading either large tables get file groups, nonclustered indexes when they are about the same size of the data, or a few other reasons...
First of all, we are talking about the same disk (please don't ask me about how it is configured) and I'm not sure yet if restoring separate file groups is even going to be necessary.
So here are my questions (beyond, the test and see what happens) because in the end I'm going to probably have to do what i'm told. So this is for my professional knowledge.
1. Does file groups separated by table type make sense?
2. Should you put tables that are queried often together in the same or different file groups.
3. I'm pretty sure you can't restore single file group for write access, am I correct?
I am trying to replicate data from a view in the publisher to a table in the subscriber (transaction replication). I do not need the view's base table, or the view itself, replicated to the subscriber. I only want to data from the view to feed a table in the subscriber.
Is this possible?

I am having an issue in determining the correct size of a table.
I have a tableA in some DB on transaction server (Enterprise Edition), this table is being replicated in reporting server DB (Standard edition).
When I check the space used by this table in both the databases i see noticeable difference.
I am using EXEC sp_spaceused 'tableA' to determine the space.

But for some reason when i query the table to see how many records there are, I see the same row count as the day before (it should increase everyday- student enrollment). When i execute the package manually, the table updates fine.
