I have a column which stores a set of dates. I want to tell how many days left of a date till it’s month end. It should be noted that month ends are taken from the date series, not a calendar month end.

Something like below,

I have two tables Costtable (Id,ResourceId, Amount,Date) and ResourceTable (ResourceId,Name) which shows output as below.

I want to show 0 amount for rest of the name in case of September. For e.g. if rest of the Resources does not appear in cost table they should appear 0 in amount

Count Number Of Pay Days In A Month

I have a query that counts the number of pay checks received in a month, but I need to compare that to the number of actual paydays in a month. If we were on a set pay schedule (i.e. the 15th of each month) it would be easy. Unfortunately that's not the case. We are paid biweekly on Fridays and our last pay day was April 4th.

So I need to know how many pay periods were in a specified month. For example, April would have 2 (April 4th and 18th), May would have 3 (May 2nd, 16th, and 30th), etc.

Help With Dates-finding Number Of Days Per Month

I am trying to determine the amount of days in a month to prorate a month end estimate.
We measure service calls and need to approximate how many we will have at month end.
I would like to automate a query to post on our web and need to know how many days are in the current month.

A possible solution would be to piece together a datetime variable using getdate and dateadd then use a datepart.
However , I don't know how to create a datetime variable this way.

We have a stored procedure which currently accepts the following parameter: exec dbo.PurgeOldData <'yyyy-mm-dd'...We want to schedule this sp to run once a (first day of the month) going back to say today's date (or the date when this sp is called to run) minus 365 or purging 12 months data. Basically, the function should convert the today's date minus xxx number of days to yyyy-mm-dd so that the sp accept it as the correct parameter and purges the data successfully. So, if the sp is run on 2015-08-06, it will purge data going back to 2014-08-06 or earlier with the following parameter:

exec dbo.PurgeOldData <'2014-08-06'>

which means, all the data prior to the above date will be purged. Even the sp was run on 2015-08-06, the converted value of 2014-08-06' is entered as the sp parameter.

I am currently working on a T-Sql query(Sql server 2008) to calculate total no of days between date ranges by year

Table:

Start Date End Date
01/01/2013 04/30/2014
11/01/2014 05/31/2015
06/01/2015 12/31/2015

My expected result.

2013 - 365
2014 - 181
2015 - 365

Note:

Date range can span b/w multiple years

Date ranges will not overlap

I just want the total number of days covered by the range for each year.

Is there any simple way to do this calculation.

I have a table which has name,Speciality,start date and end date. So each person may have 1/more rows .They will have more if they change their specialities. For example if you look at the data below.

If we see at the data above Test has 2 rows because he changed his specialty in the middle.My requirement is to calculate the total number of employees in each month for last 2 years in each speciality. For example if we look at the example above, Test was in Inside property from 2009 Aug to 2010 Aug but if i use just the date start and take the month for each adjuster it gives me the number of adjusters started in that year and month but what i want is Test should be counted in all the months for Inside property until 2010 07 month. Which means i want to have the total number of adjusters present by each speciality for each month of last 2 years .

I'm wanting to create reports in SSDT 2012 which is connected to a 2008R2 database. I want to have parameters on for my reports where a user is able to select a year such as 2014. Unfortunate my table containing the data has two columns with a date value. the first is of the int type and contains an epoch formatted date. I'm using SQL Server 2012 and I need to run a query against my database that will output the difference between 2 dates (namely, DateOfArrival and DateOfDeparture) into the correct month column in the output.

Show All Days

I am pretty much brand new to reporting services so I apologize for any simple questions I may ask.

I have created a call report that shows data broken down by day and grouped by week. Everything works great. However, if there is no data on a certain day is does not show me that day on the report. Is there a way I can make it display the day even if there is not data for that day and just give me 0 values? Or do I need to modify my query?
