I have a query pulling all records with a disconnect date and a transaction date. However, I would like to retrieve any records that have a transaction date greater than 30 days from the disconnect date. I have been unable to figure out the correct formula to use. I think I need to use the datediff function in SQL, but I've never really used this function before.
I have the table below and like to create a view to show the no of days the property was vacant or void and rent loss per month. The below explanation will describe output required
For example we have a property (house/unit/apartment) and the tenant vacates on 06/09/2014. Lets say we fill the property back on 15/10/2014. From this we know the property was empty or void for 39 days. Now we need to calculate the rent loss. Based on the Market Rent of the property we can get this. Lets say the market rent for our property is $349/pw. So the rent loss for 39 days is 349/7*39 = $1944.43/-.
Now the tricky part and what im trying to achieve. Since the property was void or empty between 2 months, I want to know how many days the property was empty in the first month and the rent loss in that month and how many days the property was empty in the second month and the rent loss incurred in that month. Most of the properties are filled in the same month and only in few cases the property is empty between two months.
As shown below we are splitting the period 06/09/2014 - 15/10/2014 and then calculating the void days and rent loss per month
Period No of Void Days Rent Loss 06/09/2014 - 30/09/2014 24 349/7*24 = 1196.57 01/10/2014 - 15/10/2014 15 349/7*15 = 747.85
I have uploaded a screenshot of how the result on this link: [URL] ....
Declare @void Table ( PropCode VARCHAR(10) ,VoidStartDate date ,LetDate date ,Market_Rent Money
i have a table with customer number, arrival and departure days and days difference between them. i need to find out the total number of days from first arrival day to last departure day if departure and next arrival days are same. for example, for customer Number, 1120, departure date and next arrival days are same, so the total number of days of stay is, 28+28+42+42. how to find out this total suing SQL.
Declare @StartDt date = '2015-03-15' Declare @EndDt date = DATEADD(M, 1, @StartDt) declare @Days int = DATEDIFF(d, @StartDt, @EndDt) declare @TBLSales as table(SaleDate date, Value money) DECLARE @Today date declare @TBLSalesCounts as table( StatusDesc varchar(100), Value money)
[Code] ....
I end up with the following result :
How would I alter my while loop to only insert the sum total of each day, instead of creating duplicates for each day.
E.g. 2015-04-22 1150.00 2015-04-21 785.00 2015-04-20 750.00
I am pulling data that shows appt information on a patient:
FName,LName, PhoneNumber, ApptDate, ApptTime, and Status that equals Active. I need to pull this info everyday. How can I set this up in a stored procedure to pull all this information automatically on a daily basis where it pulls by Appt Date that is 2 days greater than the current date?
If I just use a simple select statement, I find that I have 8286 records within a specified date range.
If I use the select statement to pull records that were created from 5pm and later and then add it to another select statement with records created before 5pm, I get a different count: 7521 + 756 = 8277
Is there something I am doing incorrectly in the following sql?
DECLARE @startdate date = '03-06-2015' DECLARE @enddate date = '10-31-2015' DECLARE @afterTime time = '17:00' SELECT General_Count = (SELECT COUNT(*) as General FROM Unidata.CrumsTicket ct
Hello,I am writing a query to select records added to a table today, in the last 3 days, in the last 7 days, and so on.Here is what I have (which seems that its not working exactly). -- total listed today SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, mydatecolumn, getdate() ) <= 0-- total listed yesterday SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, mydatecolumn, getdate() ) <= 1-- total listed in the last 3 days SELECT COUNT (*) FROM mytable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, mydatecolumn, getdate() ) <= 3I'd like to be able to select the count for records added within the last X number of days. Can someone please help me out? Thanks so much in advance.
Trying to set up a column in a grouped matrix that displays a count of all record over a specificed number.
The field I am counting are response time of transaction and I want to count how many were over 500 milliseconds. I though it would be something like this...
Code Snippet
=Count(Fields!ResponseTime.Value > "500")
However, this appears to just return the count of all rows and ignores the "500" part.
Am I missing something? If someone could post a alternate code snippet, that would be great.
I need all [FRMDAT] field set to ‘12/31/2014’ in the MKLOPT table, where the [JOBCOD] in the VALUE list BELOW have a [FRMDAT] that is currently (greater than) > ‘12/31/2014’
VALUE LIST PH00059 PH02775 PH03051 PH03305 PH03336 PH03342 PH03371 PH03992 PH03993 PH03994
I have to calculate the total working hours between days, there hours must get automatically round off to nearest value example:
Date :12-05-2013 time : 4:15 will change to 4.00 and if Date :13-05-2013 time: 4:25 then needs to 4.30 and sum the above total hours and results Total : 8.30 hrs.
I have a report with an expression to give a calculated field value (VoidDays) as follows:=DateDiff("d",Fields!Void_Start.Value, IIf(Fields!Void_End.Value is nothing, today, Fields!Void_End.Value))I have a number of different codes in the output such as VLOSS, VMAINT, VHOUS etc. When I run my report my days total for VLOSS is always correct but all other values are one day short. In the example shown in image below VMAINT should be 6 days and VHOUS should be 20 days which would then both add up to the VLOSS of 26 days
I cant currently fix these days at source for a number of reasons hence I need to fix these on the report output. How can I add one day onto each of my Void Days Total for every code except VLOSS which is always correct.
Hi All, I have a table call case and case_status have two fields, date and status as below: date status 04/01/2006 open 04/05/2006 closed 04/10/2006 open 04/15/2006 closed Whenever i open and closed the case, one record is insert into the case_status table. Now I would need to calculate the total days of the case in storeprocedure. Anyone can help me please. Aung
I'm using sys.dm_fts_parser dynamic management function to tokenize a string of characters >4000. The function doesn't accept a query_string parameter >4000 characters. Is there a way around this? I've tried to execute the SELECT defined in the function but that doesn't work.
Hi Everyone,I use the following to get records from the last two days in MySql:where date_entered <= curdate() and date_entered >=DATE_SUB(curdate(),INTERVAL 2 day)I'm looking to do the same in MS-Sql server but I'm just not getting it.I've got this so far which does not work:where hit_date <= GETDATE() and hit_date >= DATE_SUB(GETDATE(),INTERVAL 2day)then I tried this:WHERE hit_date >= DATEDIFF(GETDATE(), (GETDATE()-2)>Essentially, I need all records from the last two days.Any help or guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.-JohnyB
We are trying to compare our current calendar week (based on Monday being the first day of the week) with the previous calendar week.
I'm trying to produce a line chart with 2 axis:
- x axis; the day of the week (Mon, Tues, Wed etc - it is fine for this to be a # rather than text e.g. 1 = Mon, 2 = Tues etc) - y axis; the cumulative number of orders
The chart needs two series:
Previous Week. The running count of orders placed that week. Current Week. The running count of orders placed this week.
Obviously in such a chart the 'Current Week' series is going not going to have values along the whole axis until the end of the week. This is expected and the aim of the chart is to see the current week compares against the previous week for the same day.
I have two tables:
Orders TableCalendar Table
The calendar table's main date column is [calDate] and there are columns for the usual [calWeekNum], [calMonth] etc.
My measure for counting orders is simply; # Orders: = countrows[orders].
How do I take this measure and then work out my two series. I have tried numerous things such as adapting TOTALMTD(), following articles such as these:
- [URL] ... - [URL] ...
But I have had no luck. The standard cumulative formulas do work e.g. if I wanted a MTD or YTD table I would be ok, it's just adjusting to a WTD that is causing me big issues.
Hello,I am writing a SQL query to count records in a table from the last "X" number of days. There is a dateTime column that I want to base this off of:Lets say.. I want to count the records that were added in the last 3 days. What is the query I should use to get this value? Here is what I have and it seems to not be working correctly:SELECT @TotalListedLast3Days = COUNT (*) FROM myTable WHERE DATEDIFF(Day, DateAdded, getdate() ) <= 3Can someone help so I am able to get the count of records added in the last "X" days?Thank you very much.
What would my statement look like if I have a column in a table (SoftwareInstall) called InstalledOn which stores a date in shortDateString format and I want to select all the records where that date is <= 30 days previous to today's date. Any ideas?
I have a SQL Server 2K db with some 10 tables and I want to setup a nightly job to truncate all db records which are more than 15 days old. Can anyone provide me with steps involved? Any help will be highly appreciated.
On a webform, I have three button ... [7 days] [15 days] [30 days]When the user clicks one of the buttons, I want to return their orders for the past X days. The WHERE clause would include something like this (for 7 days):WHERE (Order_Date BETWEEN CONVERT(DATETIME, GETDATE() - 7, 102) AND CONVERT(DATETIME, GETDATE(), 102))How do I parameterize the number of days? Thanks,Tim
I am little confused in writing the exact query i.e filling the correct details in the query . To simplify let me explain....
I am using the query as
delete MYTABLE where datediff(dd,loaddate,getdate())>5
I have a table now with loadate column which gets the default date and time . The loadate shows correct date and time when the data was imported in the table .
Now suppose if i want to delete previous 5 days records from today ( for e.g today is 20/08/2002 3:40:00 PM ) ideally it should delete all records which are 5 days older from today . i.e from 20/08/2002 3:40:00 PM to 15/08/2002 3:40:00 PM ) But when i execute the datediff command , it deletes the records previous than 15/08/2002 till 15/08/2002. The records from 15/08/2002 to 20/08/2002 remain intact .
I am getting some different results .
Am i missing something in the query or i am confused about the calculation of the dates the datediff command performs .
Is the logic correct or i am missing someting important ?
This is a follow on from one of my earlier threads where I was trying to return one specific record. In this case I am trying to return multiple records for the same person ID and within a number of days range. Snapshot of my date with same PersonID:
And from this I want to check if one record's leaving date of the record is within 7 days of another record's arrival date. I also want to return the record that had a leaving date within 7 days of the next arrival date.I understand that if I self join on personID with the data above I will get 9 rows, for each row I will get 3 matches, I am using INNER JOIN to join to the same table but with a different alias so I assume this is the self join I should be using.
But then how do I process this? I would want to say for record 1 check the leaving date is within 7 days of arrival date of any other record matching that PersonId but not ArrivalID, and return both records. From my snapahot of code I would eventually want to return:
But can't seem to get this using a self join query like this:
select a.PersonID, a.Leaving_date,a.Arrival_Date,a.arrivalID from arrivals a INNER JOIN arrivals b ON b.personID = a.personID WHERE a.arrivalid != b.arrivalid and DATEDIFF(DD, b.[Leaving_date], a.[Arrival_Date]) <=7 and DATEDIFF(DD, b.[Leaving_date], a.[Arrival_Date]) >=0
I have a SQL data source and i would like to present the total number of different records based on a "status" field. I have done total records in the past by doing this: protected void SqlDataSource1_Selected(object sender, SqlDataSourceStatusEventArgs e) { int RecordCount = e.AffectedRows; if (RecordCount == 1) { litRecordCount.Text = "1 record found"; } else { litRecordCount.Text = RecordCount.ToString() + " records found"; } } This would work, howerver, my SQLdatasource choose * records, and not based on a WHERE condition. Is there any way to total just those with a status of "Initialized" ? I tried to do it on the Gridview, but then I realized if I have paging on, it will only be on that front page. thoughts?
I want to get all records that are 7 days pass today's date and not equal to today's date. Don't know how to write it so I can get records 7 days old but with this procedure I'm still getting records that are due today. Hope this makes sense. Can someone assist me. select * from libraryrequestwhere duedate > getdate() and duedate != getdate()
I have a scheduled job which does an text file import in my database . The data gets appended in my table every day from this import job .
Since my table is growing every day , i want to truncate the table after the data has been collected for three months i.e 90 days . The table will be empty and the new data will flow in through the import .
Any thoughts how to do it through query and schedule it ???
