Computer Frozen During Latest Update?

Computer Frozen Before Desktop
Dec 16, 2015My 2 year old computer did a windows 10 update overnight and I woke up to a frozen computer. It is stuck right before the desktop. I cannot do anything. I've pressed the normal buttons one would press and Nada.
Rebooted by way of the power button. Boots to the same screen before the desktop and freezes. I cannot get into startmenu to get to safe mode.
Computer Won't Boot - Frozen Screen Of BIOS Options
Sep 14, 2015Basically when i go to turn on the PC it turns on and gets stuck on the screen where it tells me to push DEL or f2 to go to the bios settings. The problem with that is it wont let me access the settings at all when i push either of those buttons. So then I turn my PC off and then on again and it boots fine. Then I check for updates to see if it's some bug and I'm up to date. So I restart to see if the problem has been fixed. And it gives me the same frozen screen of the BIOS options. Then i turn it off and it boots fine, wash and repeat.

Jan 27, 2016After installing the early January updates, I can no longer mount/linkto/attach my two NAS drives. They are connected through the same switch that my PC is on. I have updated the NAS firmware with reboot, and restarted the switch.
The Advanced Sharing Settings are set to "ON".
NB the volumes are mountable from my Mac under Yosemite.

Dec 28, 2015After the latest update yesterday of win10, I was able to connect to the internet. But once my laptop was shut down, I've been unable to connect since. Rebooted wireless remote and double checked all of the connections. Defender took over as my firewall from Advast. I've been able to shut off Defender but am still unable to connect to the net. In my wanderings, I did come across "report" that information was being sent but nothing going past some unknown firewall. As far as I know there are only 2; defender and Advast.

Oct 26, 2015The latest update changed a lot of my settings, like my mouse sensitivity, along with resetting my background to its default image and resetting my task bar to default. My biggest issue is that it deleted all my pictures in the "Pictures" folder. if they put them in the cloud? Or am I just fucked and have to go down to the head developers house and chuck eggs at it.

Nov 12, 2015So after having numerous issues with my ASUS VivoTab Smart upgrading to Windows 10 (Sound issues, display driver issues, losing my Recovery Drive, etc) I finally got everything fixed and my tablet was finally running as wonderfully as it did on Windows 8.1..... For about a week.
And then this latest build for W10 comes out. I downloaded it and then attempted to install it
The system restarts to do the update with the circular progress bar but then gets stuck at 40%. I have had this problem on three different PC's in the past and all I did was power them off, boot up again, and then it would finish off the update with no further issues.
But that didn't happen this time. I powered off my Tablet and then started it up again. Instead of carrying on, W10 decides to cancel the whole update and roll me back to am earlier version of W10.
I thought I would try again and this time wait longer. Maybe I was impatient. Went through the process again, rebooted, started the update install and then stuck at 40% yet again. I figured I would just plug my tablet in and leave it while I slept surly it would finish by the time I woke up. Nope it was still at 40%
Powered it down because I couldn't do anything else, but it decided to roll back again. What's worse is that it seemed to have rolled back to a version of W10 prior to when I got everything fixed mentioned above. So now not only am I stuck with a dud upgrade that keeps trying to install after a period of time, but I have to fix all my previous issues again. How to resolve this update freeze?
Slow Login With Latest Update - Version 1511
Nov 19, 2015When I initially installed Win10, it logged in with lightning speed (from the lock screen). After the update last weekend it takes longer to log in than it did with Win 7. or 8. How to speed up login time?

Latest Update Has Created Extra Drive Partition
Nov 15, 2015OK so I received the update on my clean install of win 10 on my split Intel NVME SSD. Just went to do a Macrium image backup and discovered that the update has created an extra partition on my drive. Although small it is stealing space from my second partition that I save the backups to. I also have some extra files on C: as shown.
To regain space what files can I delete? Can I restore the extra partition without damaging windows. Do I need to include the extra small partition with C: for a Macrium backup to be able to restore if anything gets screwed? I was expecting the update to just update the C:/ drive.

Jan 13, 2016after applying the latest cumulative updates IE11 is now broken on my system (W10 pro X-64)..Often the Main (home page) of a site works but as soon as you link to other links in the site garbled text often appears.Here's an example from BBC website. Main news page opens but link to a story and One can partly fix by pressing F12 and setting IE compatibility to IE10 or IE9.

Oct 25, 2015My laptop did an automatic Windows 10 update Friday and restarted but no program will open now and I have to hold the on key to restart it. I get about 15-30 second after it comes up to click on something and it might open but will stop responding shortly after. I have got task manger to open once and only AVG was running but it frozen before I could click on anything.
I started in safe mode and removed the last window updates only to had them reinstall when it restarted.
What at can I do? Is this a virus or malware or did the latest update do this?

Aug 20, 2015I have a Similar problem in which I cannot install the latest windows 10 update I get to 75 percent and then it says it can’t continue and resets.
My computer is a Windows 7 machine upgraded to Windows 10.
I have ran sacs scan and it found corrupt files. Done all the other scans that you have suggested and I did get that source/image is repairable.
Tried all the Command prompts DIM/Online and that would not work either.
Using Microsoft media creation I re download windows 10 Is Mounted it do a dad and pointed the DIM online source to F: it also says that source fills could not be found.
I have even tried to reset Windows 10 but that encounters problems as well

Laptop Won't Boot After Latest Windows Update - Shuts Down Immediately
Dec 18, 2015Exactly as it says on the title. When I power it on, the GPU fans go full blast, it stays that way for a little while and shuts down automatically. There's no splash screens or anything either so I can't go into safe mode. Sometimes it shuts down almost immediately and then starts up again by itself. Sometimes it seems to start fine, the fans spin at their usual speed, but nothing appears on the monitor and eventually it just shuts down again, it's not properly booting up though because my drawing tablet's lights don't go on when I plug it in.
All this after the latest update. I restarted the thing so it would install the updates, but it got stuck on "Restarting" screen with the dot things spinning. I left it for several hours until I forced the shutdown and it has done this stuff since. I do recall the task manager not starting up from the security screen though.
What I've attempted so far:
Taken the battery and power cable off and held the power button for atleast 2 minutes.
Taken the second graphics card off. And reset the battery again.
Left it overnight like that to see if it would actually do anything (As if).
Started it up without the battery.
Tried to get into safe mode, nope.
Latest Update Broke Start Menu And Battery Charging
Nov 22, 2015Ever since I installed the latest "service pack" of Windows 10, my start menu doesn't work and my battery doesn't charge. I've found work around for the start menu creating links on my desktop to my personal start menu and the all users start menu. For now, I just need to leave my computer plugged in. I've fixed the plugged in not charging in the past. But in the past, I've always had a laptop that has a removable battery. This laptop doesn't. But since all this is due to the major upgrade of 10, seems like there has to be a simple or common fix.

Expectation:
I am expecting to be able to have the two fingers scrolling running as before. More so that it was working and now not since last update from Windows 10 for Smart Gesture Asus. Not having the two fingers scrolling is really tough.
Can't Upgrade To Latest Build - Says Preparing Automatic Repair And Restarts Computer Repeatedly
Jun 16, 2015I've been trying to update to the latest build for some time now, I'm currently on 9926. The update downloads fine and it also goes through the process of installation fine, up until it's time to restart the computer for the final step, that's where the problem begins. It gets stuck on a boot up loop, it loads to the windows logo and says preparing automatic repair and restarts the computer again and again with the "preparing automatic repair" message. I made an installation disc for 9926 so that's how I'm able to reset the computer but I've also made one for the latest build but I still get the same boot up loop problem. I really want to be on the latest build and I'm worried that I won't even be able to install the official release.

Jan 8, 2016Daily is the name given to the new replacement for Mozilla Thunderbird. It often has daily updates, and the one today (08 Jan 2016) causes it to lose all email settings. As a result, when it start is shows no existing email, no email account, and looks like you are starting with a fresh install of a new email client.
To get around this I downloaded and installed the latest version of Thunderbird (38.5.1) and this did show all my email OK. So something bad happened to Daily - hopefully whoever it is who controls that software will fix it tomorrow.
Accounts :: Accounts Created After Latest Update
Nov 16, 2015After the latest big Windows 10 update today, I see two user accounts have been created, namely "Default" and "Default.migrated" Neither existed beforehand. They both contain quite a few folders and subfolders which at the bottom level are all empty. Can I safely delete these accounts?
Previously I had all Public Folders from the Public Account set to locations off my SSD, now they have been recreated on my SSD and I can't move them apart from "Public Account Pictures" as the option to relocate them is not present even though Windows says they can be relocated - see screenshots.
Can the Public Account be deleted without consequence - I never use it!
After Upgrade Cursor Is Frozen?
Aug 16, 2015after windows 10 upgrade cursor is frozen i have tried to reboot, remove battery for certain amount of time, trouble shoot the hardware, nothing works.
when i start up the computer i am able use the mouse but once it properly boots up THE MOUSE IS FROZEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN

I can access it through my phone or the gmail link from Google, but the last 24 hours when I click on the envelope (mail) link at the bottom of my desktop, my email screen opens up but nothing is responding. I can't select any email to read or select any option--the screen is completely frozen. I have noticed since the Windows 10 download that the email screen instantly displays all older mail, but is slow to cough up any new ones. That wasn't a problem with the 8.1. I'm not a "techy" person, but wonder what I can do or how can I report a frozen email screen?
