I have bought my self a lumia 640 xl which comes in Windows 8.1 and now as I heard that Windows 10 has been released how do I download it?? I'm staying in Dubai so has it been released over here?

View 2 RepliesI installed technical preview and it really turned my lumia 520 to a useless thing. Outlook disappeared and I can't receve or send mails. I have to charge my phone 3-4 times a day as well.
My real problem is windows phone recovery tool does not recognize my phone. That's why I can not downgrade to windows phone 8.1. I have tried other computers, windows 7 and 8.1, other cables. Result is the same. My computer sees my phone but windows phone recovery tool does not.
Can it be done? Can I side load Windows Phone app on a Surface Pro 3?

View 1 RepliesMy Lumia 935 windows phone always routinely sent pictures to my Lenovo IdeaCentre desktop when I have Windows 8 and 8.5. I upgraded to Windows 10. Both devices have Bluetooth on. The computer says my phone is paired with it. I try to upload a picture and I get the message "the device you're trying to send to doesn't support sharing over Bluetooth." We've restarted both devices.
View 1 RepliesI own a Nokia Lumia 820. Yesterday facebook app was crashing and wouldn't open so I uninstall it. Now that that I'm trying to re-download it it won't let me. It tells me to check if the phone system is updated which it is. It is the only app I'm having problems downloading, I have download others during the day to check if the problem was related to all downloads but it isn't. It's just facebook.

View 2 RepliesI tried getting windows 10 and when it decided to reboot and update it goes through the Nokia logo and to gears where it spins for a short while then turns itself off. I have tried using the different reset methods multiple times but to no avail. I don't even get the exclamation mark. I have a Mac Book Pro and tried the beta NSU for retail but it wont even recognise my device. Phone was working fine until update... Is there a solution, other than getting a new phone?

I sent an epub file to my bro's Lumia 520 from my android and lost it. Cant open that file on his Lumia. Cant browse bluetooth folder in Microsoft Files explorer and Aerize File Explorer.
No book reader Sparrow reader, bookvise reader shows up that file in their list.
Whats going on? 2-3 years later, does WP still lacks capability to open up epub file sent over bluetooth?
Gotta try out this precise scenario: "Send epub file from Android to WP and open it in WP" and tell me, I lost 2 hrs today.
If not possible in WP 8.1, hope Windows 10 fixes this, but need confirmation about WP 8.1
Many users of new "windows 10 Technical Preview for Phones" are unable to turn off mobile data..... So here is the simple solution:
1] go to setting>Extras>access point
2] create a new access point ( insert anything in fields
3] Set it as active
whenever you want to turn on data go to access point n choose working (default) access point ...
Would I be able to do this with windows 10 0n my laptop or would I have to await mobile 10?
View 8 RepliesI have attempted to download windows 10 around 4/5 times, the download completes and states that my computer needs to restart upon which it claims it is configuring the windows 10 upgrade. I would assume from this point it would restart into the windows 10 configuration however each time I have tried it it restarts back into windows 8 as if nothing had happened.
My laptop then opens up windows update and says I am able to download windows 10. This is really frustrating as I can't even seem to get into the windows 10 setup.
As you can see I am attempting to download again but there is no trace at all of it attempting to install windows other than this failed update that you can see here.
I am using an HP Pavillion 15-n268a laptop.
I have been trying to update for a long time now. But the final upgrade wit keeps on saying : There's a problem please try again later. I have windows 7 (it's compatible to upgrade) and it's not a pirated version.

View 1 RepliesI've been holding out on upgrading to Windows 10 for a while now but I think I'll finally make the upgrade from Windows 7. This isn;t the first time I've upgraded/reinstalled Windows on my computer so I still have a windows.old folder from last time.
Will upgrading make two windows.old folders or replace the old one with a new one? And will that one have another windows.old folder inside of it? Should I just throw my windows.old file onto my external hdd and then do the upgrade?
