Photo Gallery Screensaver Not Working
Aug 6, 2015As the title says it all, ever since the upgrade, the current screensaver called the Photo Gallery stopped working, all my other screen savers work.

Moving Photos In Photo Gallery
Nov 21, 2015I cannot find a way to move photos from one of the automatically created albums to another existing album. There seems to be no way to tag them as there was in previous versions. Many of my photos are old family pictures scanned over a period of years. Being automatically placed in albums according to date makes finding them very difficult.

Jan 9, 2016The new Photos app in Windows 10 (while allowing a variety of editing functions), does not allow me to add a caption, i.e., update the Title attribute of a JPEG file. The old Windows Photo Gallery in Windows 7 was very useful in this regard, since I could update a number of the metadata (EXIF) fields.
How can I do this in Windows 10? Has Microsoft just removed this feature? Seems a retrogade step.

Nov 1, 2015I have photo gallery installed with my windows 10, but according to my reserarch, there is also Windows Live Photo Gallery, which has more features.
All I can find is windows live essentials, but when i look at the programs it will install this is not shown...
Has MS renamed Windows Live Photo Gallery and just called it Photo gallery ?
Have a zillion photos to tag and if I use an MS product it will be tagged within the photo unlike Picasa so will be better for my purposes, unless there is an alternative which adopts the MS tagging...

Dec 14, 2015I updated today from Windows 7 to 10, and everything seems to be working great except for a screensaver I purchased a few years ago. I know it's a relatively minor problem, but it worked fine on 7.
The screensaver worked by taking a screenshot when initialized, and displayed various effects over that image.
Now when I attempt to run the screensaver I get the following error:
I'm not running any other programs whatsoever, so I wonder if a core Windows process is now interfering with this?
Apps :: Photo Viewer Slideshow Not Working?
Sep 18, 2015I am trying to find a slideshow that works on Windows 10, with no luck.
First I tried the new Windows 10 photo viewer. Clicking slideshow on this app works, but only for a single photo. Clicking on any logical key, like the arrow keys or space bar or mouse just ends the slideshow. I would expect you could enter the slideshow and then key through all your photos.
Giving up on that, I launched the old Windows Photo Viewer. Launching slideshow in this trusty old program made all my photos appear the wrong size. They were too big and the bottom of the photo went off the screen so that I was only seeing about 80% of the photo.

Dec 9, 2015I have 3 photo edit/print programs on board, all of which worked perfectly under windows 7. However, since upgrading (?) to 10 I now find that none of them work properly, various problems, particularly printed image size. For instance, I wanted to print a 6" x 4" photo at actual size, but could only get it to print to full A4. After much fiddling & cussing I thought I had managed to get it to behave, only to find that it would then only print out at 3" x 2"!!! Is the problem with the software or is it the printer/laptop setup? I use an Epson XP-700 printer.

Nov 22, 2015I can't open any photo files, it says they have the wrong file name. I had to update windows 10 because word stopped working ( I had already updated to Windows 10 from Windows 8, thinking it can't be worse than Windows 8 - but I was wrong about that.)
Word 13 stopped working a few days ago, and a computer techician tried to identify what was wrong. After checking various things he reinstalled Windows 10. Now I can't open any photo files, it says they have the wrong file name. I could always open the photos before. How can I view and edit my photos as I could before ?
Also is this problem with Word 13 continually jamming and stopping working also due to some windows 10 issue, or is it a virus ?

Dec 13, 2015For some reason I have lost use of the Edit Photo options. How to get it back? I can open the photos just fine. But when I click on the edit buttons it says "Can't edit. We are having trouble opening this file for editing." I have not change my file types or anything else. Tried several different pictures and it just keep saying the same thing. Aug 18, 2015I recently upgraded to 10 last week and I noticed that when I am clicking through my picture gallery, it stops at the last photo and doesn't restart from the beginning. In Windows 7 and every other version, you were able to loop through photo galleries.
This isn't a huge deal but I reference my photos a lot when I am doing work on my pc and it's kinda annoying to have to click out of the slide viewer and then scroll back up to the first photo in my folder in order to start over.

Dec 23, 2015I get to the screen saver and the mouse and keyboard don't work so no way to get to enter pin screen this happened after multiple installs from win 7 ultimate (originally on my machine) to me purchasing pro version clean install. it works for between 5 and 10 boots then bang I am running a dell quad 4 2.7 MHz machine with 8 mb ram have loaded win 10 5 times and on different drives no difference just when I think problem is solved BANG it bites me in the butt again have a Microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard and did download the latest win 10 drivers.?is my machine to fast and the screen saver screen is loading before the drivers?

Dec 6, 2015I know some people have had issues with the screensaver not working. In my case all the screensavers work, except the one I want -pictures. I have always used pictures as a screensaver with other windows os with no problem.
What happens is I can see the pictures scrolling in the mini monitor it shows you, but when I hit preview or when it goes into action, the screen goes black. I have tried using different folders in different drives and using different pictures, but still nothing but black.
Cannot Save Screensaver Configuration On Booting
Aug 8, 2015I have upgraded from Win8.1... It seems all is workin +10, but just a few days ago I see this thing. I set the screensaver to 10 minutes delay, I choosse the 3D animation and bingo . nice like in y old Win 8.1. The problem is simple. When I shutoff my pc and start again the screensaver settings change again to 1 minute( default) and no 3D sacreensavere any more !! I must set again to X minutes, select the animation , apply and save and this over and over . Never problems before with my Win 8.1. I use the same hardware and apps. Everything is the same on my PC than before.
