How To Add Shortcut Link In Quick Access Through Registry
Dec 29, 2015I want to add shortcut link of one of the folder location to "Quick Access" in Windows 10 x64.
In the case of Windows 10 x86 I used to put my shortcut link in the folder "C:Usersuser_nameLinks" & it showed me shortcut in favorites at left side. Also it works using this command :

I want to do same thing for Windows 10 x64. So I try to use that command on Windows 10 x64 also I have tried to directly copy shortcut & pasted into the location of Quick Access.
But, still it's not showing in left panel of Quick Access.
So, how to do that on Windows 10 x64 ? (or perhaps through Registry) ?.

Dec 26, 2015I can't link a shortcut of my user folder to Quick Access. It only links the direct folder which has a silly name (created by the first five letters of my email address), and it's just so stupid to look at. I want Quick Access to refer to the shortcut as the 'User' directory, but this seems impossible to do without renaming the direct folder, which is not recommended at all.

Aug 10, 2015I'm not sure if this is keyboard specific or set somewhere by default in Windows, but when I hit the volume up/down on my logitech K740 keyboard, it increments by 2%, but I'd like it to increment by 1%. If I manually select the volume control in windows and then press the arrow up/down keys, it goes by 1%.

This did not occur in Windows 7, 8 or 8.1, to my recollection. Shortcuts have been deleted and reconfigured.
Can No Longer Use Volume / Brightness / Skip Song Buttons On Keyboard
Jan 7, 2016I upgraded about a month ago. My laptop locked me out entirely shortly after the upgrade so I had to take it to be wiped clean. When I got it back everything was in working order with Windows 10 except the top row of keys that control volume, brightness and the ability to pause, rewind and skip songs now solely does the standard system commands of f1-f10 *caret browsing on/of, find in page, etc* Im not sure if they worked the first time I tried to upgrade because I couldn't even log on to my computer after I upgraded the first time so I reformatted.

Obstacle #1: I need to allocate a mouse button to switch between touch mode and desktop (wimp style) mode. What is the keyboard shortcut to bind for this? Or is there a script I could set the mouse button to launch if there is no keyboard shortcut available yet?
Obstacle #2: Persuade Logitech to make 4 finger swipe up switch to/from touch mode on the T650.

Aug 8, 2015I'd like my system sounds slider to stay at 10% of the overall volume. All other volume settings seem to stick. Windows rememebers my overall / winamp / browser etc. volume just fine. Only the system sounds revert to EAR-SPLITTINGLY LOUD at seemingly random times. Sometimes after a restart (but not every time), sometimes in the middle of a Windows session. Is this a known Win10 bug?

Sep 5, 2015I'm using 2 languages to type. Mostly English but when chatting to my parents in Skype for example, I switch to Bulgarian (Cyrillic Alphabet) keyboard input.
Back in Windows 7 if I was to open an application (Skype for example) and switch to Bulgarian keyboard I could type in Bulgarian, but if I was to open a web browser for example, thus minimizing Skype, I would continue to type in English without the need to switch between languages. Simply put Windows 7 would remember what language input I have switched to in a certain application and would automatically switch to it.
Now since installing Windows 10 every time I switch to Bulgarian, the input for every single application changes to Bulgarian, and if I was to switch back to English then they all change to English input.
So... is there an option somewhere to prevent this from happening?
Unable To Mute Computer Built-in Speakers
Jan 3, 2016I am running the latest version of Windows 10 on an HP all-in-one desktop computer (27-1015t);
When listening to music, from the computer's CD drive or from iTunes, I like to turn off the computer's built-in low-fi speakers and instead listen to a pair of external powered speakers, which are connected to the computer's audio out connector;
Before going from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I could mute the built-in speakers without muting the output from the audio out connector;
Now under Windows 10 I can't find any way to mute the built-in speakers without also muting the output to the external speakers. One might think that the connector where I plug in the external speakers jack would automatically disconnect the internal speakers, ( as is true on iPhones, iPads, and the like) but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Is there any way under Windows 10 to play the external speakers only? Or is that HP's problem rather than Microsoft's? Since I *was* able to do it under Windows 7 but I can't now, it seems like a problem relating to the OS change from 7 to 10.
Can't Sign In / System Gets To Login Screen And Just Stops There - Keyboard Is Unresponsive
