I have 2 dates as input. The main date and reference date (Last date of previous year) of the main date.
At the moment I manually insert the values for main date and reference date, but I only one to select the main date and automatically insert in the first column of the matrix report the reference date.
Hi I am making a report in Visual Studio. I€™m making a matrix report. I have made a UNION of 2 tables. One of them has a field called Date and the other one does not. But to make a UNION of these 2 tables so that the results are printed in a Matrix I have to have the same fields€™ aliases at least. So what I did is that in the second table is: SELECT €˜ €˜ AS €˜Date€™ Right?
Now, in the report the first table gives me the dates in a format: =Format(Fields!Estimated_Close_Date.Value, "yyyy-MM-dd")
But, the second table is it doesn€™t have a date in that field when I run the report it gives me: 1900-01-01
Something I don€™t want.
So, how do I make it understand that the second tables date field is suppose to be empty?
I am trying to develop a report from cube,and it has one drill through report.when i click on sales amount field on main report,then it open the drill through report with details.Here i passed the **(category,subcat,product)parameters(Cascaded)** to drill through report in action part of main report.In my main report i have two columns .
columns are **Level**  and        **Salesamount**. Â

when i click on 100, parameters are passed & it open the detail report correctly, but when i click on 50,the values for subcat parameter is not getting values in detail report and same as the product also.
How do I get data on my linked report based on my grouped subtotal and grand total from the main report. The subtotal and grand total are calculated columns.
I have a 3 columns in my matrix in the SSRS summary report. Actn_COAST, ActnCITY and NumbOfAccts. Â

I have linked my report based on the NumbOfAccts column. I am able to get data if I click any of the NumbOfAccts values related to the state I want. However when I am not sure how to make the subtotal and grand total work. I want when I click on the subtotal of either coast, I should be able to see records of that coast e.g., if I select 37 I should be able to see all the records in East Coast. If I click on the Grand Total, I only want data related to those 2 coasts.
I've a SSRS monthly sales report with the sales details for current year and last year. I've 4 paramaters in the report. StartDate1, EndDate1, StartDate2 (hidden), EndDate2 (hidden).

I am having report parameter end date I am showing the default value "5/21/2007 11:59:59 PM" in the end date paramter. And also I want to show date time format "(MM/DD/YYYY HH:MMS)" in the right hand side of the parameter. How to do this?
Date parameter. I created a report that allows a drop down for a date range to be selected. However, whenever I preview the report, I get an error. I know my error stems from my date fields being in this format "201301" , and the "date/ time" in SSRS being mm/dd/yyyy on the drop down calendar in SSRS.
I know the direction I want to go in, but just a little confused on where would I use the convert or cast function. Would it be in the data parameter itself, or a part of the query before the @start date and @End date?
I've a SSRS report that reports the 'ScheduledShipDate' based on 'Requested Delivery date'. Currently, on my report 'ScheduledShipDate' is set to Monday of each week since we ship every mondays. I need to change the 'ScheduledShipDate' since from now the ship date will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of each week. Here is my DDL.

In SSRS report I have 2 parameters start date and end date, so when somebody is selecting end date more than a month(if today date is 22 then they are selecting aug 23) then it should give error message to user like "Date out of range".
I have a simple query which has a parameter 'between @Start and @Finish' My user within the SQL management studio is set to British English. My report language properties are set to English (United Kingdom)
If I set the parameter to data type string and use start and finish of 31/12/2007, 30/12/2008 the report works fine. If I change the data type of the parameter to Datetime (to use the calander pickers) the date values are no longer valid.
Where else should I be looking for regional settings? Or is there another reason for this?

I am using query which I created with CAML.
query is running well and data is coming correctly if I run this on Query designer.and date format must be YYYY-MM-DD.but when I try to run through on run time then the date control is showing format dd/mm/yyyy.
I change the regional settings of windows and SharePoint site to English(United States). and when I select date control it is also putting date in format like "YYYY-MM-DD'. and in that format report is working well in Query designer view.But on run time still it is not working.

I have a QA Deployment Date field that is being returned in a custom report I created. I also found a sample date range parameter:
What I want to accomplish:
I want to select a From and To Date and filter the report to only display the rows that have the QA Deployment Date within the selected range.
For example.. I want to select From Date (8/1/2105) and To Date (8/31/2015) and I only want to return only the results that have a QA Deployment date between that selected range.

I am working in SSRS 2000, and I have a report using a table. In the footer of the table I want to do a calcuation. I have a textbox in the table called "SumAmtCurrent", which is a sum value for a field in my dataset. I have another field in my dataset, "TotalRevCurrent", and I would like to take this second field, subtract the value in the textbox "SumAmtCurrent", and have the result in the footer of the table. I tried to reference the textbox using ReportItems!SumAmtCurrent.Value - but that gives me the following error
"...The value expression for the textbox €˜textbox7€™ refers to the report item €˜SumAmtCurrent€™. Report item expressions can only refer to other report items within the same grouping scope or a containing grouping scope..."
Is there a way I can get this total into my report?

The report parameters for From and To contain a first item of 'All' which I don't want. How can I remove this please?
I have a matrix report in which i embedded an image in the page header, i want that image to be alighned at the right most top corner of the page when we view the report, Pls help me What to do to achieve this.

I developed one dynamic column (matrix) report. while export to excel it 's show same output as SSRS have. but while exporting CSV pivot column not coming as same as Excel and SSRS screen. data is moving to rows.

I have a DB table which records the datetime each time a viewer changes TV channel. The report is a summary by user of each channel change By Day Part with Each Date
I can do this easily enough by just grouping on Date but now require another level of detail.

I have a dataset with weekly salary of multiple employees of same grade from different dpt. We are not going to show the report based on employ. The report will be showing data based on Employee grade and their department.

We mark cells in  a report using color names like red, pink, and transparent in the fill expression. In the browser it works correctly. When exported to Excel the colors go to the wrong cells. This worked correctly in SSRS 2008.Â

My goal is to select values from the same date range for a month on month view to compare values month over month. I've tried using the date trunc function but I'm not sure what the best way to attack this is. My thoughts are I need to somehow select first day of every month + interval 'x days' (but I don't know the syntax).In other words, I want to see

This happens with each matrix where I use this expression. A warning emerges:

The strange thing is that the part
Fields!year.Value=First(Fields!year.Value,"Category") should prevent an error and I expect it to show 'nothing'

As you can see, all other 2013 rows show a blank cell, except the first row.
I am trying to get the 1st date of the previous month in SSRS and either displaying it or using it in a variable as a calculation or as a value for a filter query based in SQL. However, when I use the SQL equivalent it does not display anything. The SQL code is as below:
I know I have to substitute the getdate() with today() in SSRS. Even then it still returns no value. Does it have anything to do with the DateInterval value of DateAdd() and DateDiff()? I have changed it to 'DateInterval.month', but then it says that the month portion is not recognised. Also, is there a DateInterval.week that can be used?
