I can't press any of the buttons in the lower line, cant navigate in Windows, or in the apps window. the cursor is showing and moving but i cant press anything. ive tried reinstalling Windows but it makes an error saying that some system file is missing.

Btw when Im talking about windows Im not talking about the OS Im talking about the applications like Google Chrome window, file explorer window, etc. So my problem is when I move a window from one place to another (like in the image) it only shows the outline. Before it didnt do that. Maybe I touched something and now I dont how to change it.

View 2 RepliesI have four systems, each with a regular+cyrillic keyboard and have been using them for years with Windows 7 & 8.1, switching between the two formats, without a problem. As an aside, a couple of the systems, having bought them in Bulgaria, have non-English messages but the few that occur, although annoying, I have tolerated.
Now, having updated one of the Win 7 systems to Win 10 and having tweaked language so, at least at the user level, I get everything in English, I have a strange situation where the " key will not produce the character until another key is pressed. It is the only key that reacts like that. I'm not sure if the tweaking or Windows 10 itself is the problem.
After updating both of my Toshiba laptops when I first boot my laptops they show the Toshiba but I can't press F2 to enter BIOS.

Before doing so I could go directly to my password screen, without the previous window due to a tweak, and when I keyed in my password it would open automatically without having to press the "Enter" key. Now I must do so. My search has only found how to not have the first screen mentioned above but not the password part.

View 1 RepliesI have a new problem, and it is with keyboard input. I have to type very slowly to get my keystrokes to actually get entered. I need to hold down each key for at least one full second or press the key several times to type each keystroke. This occurs on all four keyboards I tried including a wireless Logitech that I'm using to type this. PC is Dell 560, OS Windows 10 Home. The PC is practically useless like this.

View 3 RepliesJust installed my Win 10 from Microsoft. All went well on the Venue 8 pro. Win 10 worked well with the Dell VN8P but if you put it to sleep by pressing the power button or it enters sleep itself after the time you set, it WILL NOT start back up when you press the power button. LED back light on but screen remains black.
You need to hold down the power button > 10 sec to shut down completely. The you can reboot and all works fine.
This was unacceptable for my use so for now I back out of Win 10 to Win 8.1 which works fine. Tried all kinds of Windows power settings and options. Nothing works.
since I upgraded the computer to Windows 10, when I want to turn off my PC, the screen turn off, but the light on the power button stays on. the computer turns off completely.
while if I want to put my computer on standby, the computer will not turn on more, I am forced to turn off the computer by holding the power button press.
my cd drive icon was showing and working then stopped showing up. I did as much research as I could and purchased AVG driver updater and it worked for a few days and won't work again.
View 1 RepliesMy Dell desktop PC has been running Windows 10 since last Fall. About two weeks ago it began to have difficulty waking from sleep. Pressing the power button or a key on the keyboard causes the fan to come on and the hard drive to spin up, but the screen remains dark and in low-power mode. When I press a key the Caps Lock indicator lights up briefly.
I have to shut the PC down by a long press on the power button. When I reboot it, it starts up OK and in fact the previous set of running programs is reopened. I think this might be due to hybrid sleep: when I force a restart Windows reloads state from the hibernation file.
I've tried a couple of suggestions I found online, such as using System Restore to roll back. No improvement. Others have suggested changing the version of a device driver, such as the graphics driver, but my graphics driver is the same version it has been since installing W10.
Noticed a change in the behaviour of sleep in the last couple of weeks? I'm wondering if this is due to some update pushed by Windows Update.
Whenever I press the start button I get the Acer logo screen and the loading dots move without a problem.Then I get a black screen for a couple of seconds and then the Acer logo screen again, but this time the loading dots won't move, as if something went wrong, it stays that way (frozen) for a while, after that the windows loading screen appears (nothing written just those moving loading dots) and I finally get the windows lock screen. I don't think this should be happening, it happens both when the fast startup is enabled or disabled.
View 9 RepliesSince the latest update (It introduced the slide show of pictures on the lock screen. I think it is KB3124200) I haven't been able to press Enter or Space or any other key for that matter to "slide up" the lock screen photo to get to the password screen. I've looked through the lock screen settings, but I see nothing that could prevent this.

View 2 RepliesOkay so I'm going to be building a new PC, but I'm reusing my old motherboard and my old hard drive with Windows 10 on it. I'm going to have a second new hard drive, a new processor, and a new GPU. I'm just wondering if my PC will be able to boot into Windows fine or if I'll have to go through any hoops? Or if I'll run into any trouble with a new graphics card and processor with the old drivers still on the hard drive?

View 2 RepliesI'm running Windows 10 Professional, and have a triple monitor setup. I have two 22" Dell monitors side by side, and I have my 55" Vizio TV mounted on the wall above my monitors. The Dell monitors are connected to my video card via VGA/DVI connections, and the TV is connected via HDMI.
Well, the annoying problem I'm having is that Windows 10 will randomly move my opened windows between monitors, but only when I'm not using the computer. For example, the Dell monitor on the right is my "main" display, where I usually keep my windows open (Chrome, uTorrent, etc.). If I turn off my monitor, later when I come back, I'll find the windows I left open on my left monitor, so I end up having to drag them back over. Another example is when I used Plex Home Theater. I run that program on my Vizio TV at all times. But if I don't close the program before I turn the TV off, it ends up getting moved to my Dell monitor on the left. Also, when I have my TV turned off, and I turn it on, it blacks out both of my Dell monitors for maybe 5 seconds, and during that time it moves whatever windows I had open on my right Dell monitor over to the left one.
I had Windows 8 and Windows 7 on this PC previously, and I never had any of these issues. I have the most current video drivers installed
