Edge Lost Some Of Its Settings Options
Sep 14, 2015You know how when you click on the 3 dots you get a options list. Well all of a sudden from the change size tool and the next 4 are greyed out will no longer work.

Power Options Settings
Aug 29, 2015I have all the setting I can find that when I close lid to laptop it does nothing when plugged in. I have it set to do not sleep unless I tell it too period. Yes went through 'all' settings. So it will run scans, maintenance etc during night but like lid closed. But when I get up and open lid it wants me to sign back in and scan say it couldn't run.

2. Told in Account Settings to Verify account, Clicked on Verify and no response every time.
3. Changed to User account and now cannot change back to Administrator Account.

Performance :: CPU Parking Options In Power Settings
Jan 10, 2016I added a registry tweak that unlocked the power option to park the CPU...I am running a PC so battery life or power use is not an issue..just want to be clear about the min and max settings....thought it would be just ON or OFF...its the %s that confuse me....So if i set the min to 100% I assume that turns oof parking completely ?If I set max to 100% this allows the CPU to go to the max it can ? So is the min setting for parking ? and the max to just restrict the max the CPU will run ?If these assumptions are correct....what are the %s in between for ?

Touchpad - Options No Longer Listed On Driver Settings
Sep 29, 2015I have an Acer Aspire E1-572 running Windows 10. The computer has an Elan smart pad drivers. I recently updated to windows 10 but after it was installed, my touchpad settings changed. I tried to change the settings to how they were before, now i can no longer adjust the sensativity or have the inertia " momentum" settings enabled. Those are no longer options listed on the driver settings.
I am disabled with limited mobiity and I rely on the ability to flick the mouse and have the cursor travel across the screen. Without these settings I am struggling to use the computer.

Aug 24, 2015When I start up my computer the lock screen shows 2 accounts. One has just my name, which I am trying to remove because it default tries to log into. The second is my microsoft @live account which Ive used from day one. When I go into accounts it shows I have 1 account on this computer, its the one I use @live to sign in. Really confusing and Im not sure that to do.

Dec 5, 2015i have a acer aspire 1v , windows ten just updated with cortana in australia , since the update my touch pad has no options for two finger functions
when i was running windows 8.1 i had options for three finger functions , that went when i installed windows ten for the first time and i could only get two finger options available , now with the latest install there is only options for one finger functions
I am have synaptics pointing device but i though i had elan pointing device...
what is also weird is when i open the synaptics pointing device in the tray manager , i have an option for accessories with pressure graph and moonpad options , not sure what they are but clicked on them and i get a message this option requires a synaptics pointing device and synaptics pointing device driver
I've tried device manager check driver update and it says working properly and driver is using the latest update.

Aug 12, 2015I have my laptop hooked up to an external display via HDMI. The projection settings made using Winkey + P gets reset to "Duplicate" every time I reboot, and I have to go in and manually change it back to "Second screen only".
Is there still a way to set this permanently? With Win 7 and 8.x there was a "Multiple displays" option under the Screen Resolution control panel, but this control panel seems to have been completely redesigned in Win 10

Aug 9, 2015I've been unable to find a way around this, but since updating to the 8/05 Win 10 update, I've lost the Action Center (Swipe from right edge) and open programs (Swipe from left edge) gestures on my Surface Pro 2. I've uninstalled the update and regained the gestures, but once it installs again, the same issue presents again. I haven't found a place to enable/disable gestures like these. Nov 21, 2015First of all I'll make a complaint. I am very disappointed with Windows 10. It's been one of the worst Windows ever made and sooner or later I will switch from Windows to some normal OS sofware. I have been let down too many times by it (not just 10 but all of the former as well) and I decided it's simply not worth my time, money and nerves.
Today Windows decided to do an upgrade on my computer and when I turned it on it said it was preparing something. After the welcome screen, I realized all my documents on the desktop have been missing, including majority of the shortcuts.
All the settings have been reverted, including theme, desktop image, default programs. In short, there's not much left untouched.
What's utterly intolerable it somehow deleted ALL my personal documents, pictures, literally EVERYTHING is lost. I just can't put up with it anymore. There were several files I need for my work, everything is simply gone.
Software Settings Lost After Booting Into Safe Mode?
Sep 1, 2015A couple days ago I used safe mode to fix a startup program causing a bsod. Possibly worth noting: I had to use a bootable Windows 10 USB, use the repair options, enter the "BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY LEGACY" command, to then use F8 to access boot options and safe mode.
The problem I'm facing now is some other (not all, fortunately), unrelated programs (or apps or whatever MS feels it's trendy to call them) are showing up as if they were just installed. Anything that's user settings was reset.
I don't regularly use safe mode, so my questions are:
- Is safe mode known for resetting software to default/factory settings?
- If yes, what would be an efficient way to prevent it? Maybe backup the relevant data and restore it after using safe mode?
- If safe mode does not reset anything, what could have caused my settings to be lost in the Warp? Enabling the "legacy" (F8-friendly) boot shouldn't have anything to do with this... right?
Most notably, Launchy and BitTorrentSync were reset to "just installed" state. There might be more I just didn't run yet.
Lost All Bookmarks In Edge After Running Cleanup Programs - Can They Be Retrieved?
Nov 2, 2015I'm not sure what to do. I ran a few cleanup programs. adwcleaner, ccleaner, etc and opened up edge and all the bookmarks were gone. But also to add I imported Google Bookmarks from my phone into the bookmarks also. So I had all my bookmarks in one place. But the Edge bookmarks were only saved on Edge and I can't remember those important websites I need.

What I noticed in one of them is that in Edge Settings under "Sync your content" the switch is set to off and an instruction and link to set on the Windows Sync Settings (!!!) - something I have already done!

None of the sign in screen options (power options, language, etc.) are enabled. I can't get to any safe mode boot options either so at the moment I'm stuck.
