I am having major problems after upgrading free to windows 10. I upgraded just around 30 minutes ago after posting this and my screen has gotten more blurry and whenever i want to play any of my first person shooter games, i run into extreme lag that renders the entire game unplayable. My games were running fine before i have upgraded. In fact, they ran better then fine, they ran great. Not sure what to do but i am thinking it might have something to do with the increased blurriness. I have also noticed that everything seems slightly bigger on my screen after the upgrade. The extreme lag is definitely not being caused by my computer. It is a custom built gaming desktop and the lag only started immediately after i upgraded.
I am having a problem with games freezing on my windows 10 pc. The games that have been freezing are GTA 3, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas and Team Fortress 2. GTA V is working fine without any freezes. if i reboot my pc all games are working fine, the freezing usually happens when the pc have been on for a few hours and happens randomly. the games actually start but is really slow, i can skip the intro cutscenes but after that i cant do anything. I can Ctrl + Alt + Delete and close the games and the pc is working just fine its just the games that wont work.
I have been having an issue for a few weeks now where my computer will BSOD or freeze whenever I play certain games.
At first I thought it was a specific game (Xcom 2) that was doing it, but it has since started happening while playing other games that didn't have that issue in the past (One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3 and Sonic Racing Transformed).
I included the file as requested on the posting instructions.
Note I ran the program today, but I havent had a crash since yesterday so I am unsure if the information will be there? If necessary I can run Xcom 2 for a while to force a crash, but for obvious reasons I would prefer not to if it isn't needed.
in the last few days when playing games (BFBC2, BF3 and Sticky Bomb), my computer has been freezing at various points (sometimes within a minute, sometimes after 2 hours), and on reboot i get BSOD sometimes with different error messages such as "system_services_exception".
After the initial reboot BSOD i seem to sometimes get a 2nd BSOD such as "system_thread_unhandled_exception", "IRQOL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and other error messages. Occasionally after rebooting I get a freeze just on desktop screen, which never happens unless I have just had a freeze in game.
Before this started happening I have installed a new sound card and installed new drivers for my graphics card. I have since tried taking out the sound card (same problem seen) and also rolling back to the previous nvidia drivers with no avail.
I tried running memtest, but after 2 hours it was only over 50% so gave up for now, but at that point it hadn't seen any errors.
My rig is:
Asus M5A97 R2.0 16 GB Corsair Vengence MSI GTX 970 AMD FX-8350 4.2GHz Asus Xonar DGX Corsair 750Watt PSU win 10 64 bit
My new custom desktop build is around one month old now. I am experiencing issues while gaming, for example AC Syndicate.
Sometimes I get an BSOD, but thats very rare. Also, the BSOD is freezing as well, so Windows is not even generating dump files. It only happened one time. That one time I collected the dumps to start a thread here: New Custom Build - BSOD within Games - Windows 10 Forums
But as BSOD crash analyst axe0 said, without dumps we cant analyze anything... What has been done?
- Reformatted PC, then I thought the issue is solved, but it came back... - All non-microsoft services are disabled - All startup entries are disabled - Memtest ran around 12 hours, no issues - Used HWMonitor to check temperature while gaming and freezing, no heat issue detected. - Ran Furmark around 3 hours, no freezes... - Replaced GPU, no changes... - BIOS is up2date, but there is a new BIOS which I tried to install, but BIOS said "cannot read file"
ASUS --> Currently running on v1104, published on 2016/01/14 --> most up2date BIOS is v1105, published on 2016/01/20 - not able to install it
Ever since I installed Windows 10 on release, I have been having problems with my games. Before it was just games like Counter-Strike 1.6, Half-Life 1, Half-Life 2 / EP1 / EP2, Left 4 Dead or Garry's Mod that froze my computer or sometimes it would just say "AMD driver has stopped working and successfully recovered". Last night it happened when I was playing Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing and I was just trying to finish a race when the screen turns black and brings up a message saying "Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing has stopped working". This has never happened to me before and I thought it had something to do with plugging my Xbox One controller in when Windows already started up when usually I just leave it plugged in before turning on my computer. I launched the game again and had Spotify playing music at the same time. I needed to check something on the internet and I pressed the Windows key and opened Google Chrome then everything stops and the music just freezes and has a constant stuttering sound. I think it could of been that the graphics card stopped working but it didn't recover.
I run Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing in these settings:
Resolution: 640x480 @ 60Hz Widescreen: Yes Vertical Sync: No Language: English Texture Resolution: Low Shadows: Off Low Detail Models: One Player Soft Particles: No Motion Blur: No
I run Garry's Mod in these settings:
Resolution: 1440x900 Aspect Ratio: Widescreen (19:10) Advanced Settings: Everything as low as possible except for Texture Detail which is at Medium
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 bit RAM: 2GB Graphics: ATi Radeon 3000 Graphics 256MB VRAM CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 245 Processor @ 2.9GHz Computer Manufacturer: Compaq Computer Model: Compaq SG3-320UK
After installing Windows 10 I had a gray screen. I thought the laptop had gone to sleep so I pushed the power button to wake it up. It powered down so I powered it right back up. I got the small new Windows window icon and the spinning circle below it then the screen goes blank and nothing! ?!
I noticed after I downloaded the most recent updates and I disabled the Windows background on the sign-in screen I now have a dull grey screen when shutting down or restarting? When it says restarting or shutting down or when I'm signing in the background is blue, but in between a weird grey screen shows up?
I have a new Christmas Windows 10 Laptop and it goes to vertical gray lines with a 1" colored block on the screen with the gray lines. I can not get my screen back unless I do a hard power shut down. I did all the current Windows updates on laptop. I then put the full version of AVG on the laptop. It continues to go to the vertical gray lines after a short time of use. I am plugged in to 110 AC and haven't use the battery setting as yet.
Recently I updated windows 10 and now whatever colour you choose when "show colour on start, taskbar, action centre and title bar" is on changes the title bar's colour as well. I don't want to disable this option because I like the start, taskbar and action centre being grey but I want the title bar to be white.
Recently I downloaded a program but it came with a ton of malware. I booted my laptop in safe mode and ran a bunch of malware removal programs. When I tried to boot my computer back up, the screen lit up and turned grey.
I recently reinstalled Fallout 3 but noticed every time I saved, they weren't detected in the Load screen. I checked the folder (C:UsersAlien2DocumentsMy GamesFallout3) and my saves were there! So the game is saving, but I'm unable to load any of them cuz they aren't getting detected.
I have Windows 10 which warns me the game is not optimized, but it runs fine. Also, I want to note I did not have to install Games for Windows Live when I installed fallout 3 through Steam, but when I click the warning Windows 10 gives me about the game not running properly, it sends me straight to an install link for GfWL which I decided to reinstall.
I had hoped to use the migrate method where you'd move the save files from My Games/Fallout 3 into whatever profile folder there is made from GfWL but after reinstalling and logging into my old account it didn't work.why I can't load my games?
I upgraded to Win 10 on Friday, and since, despite several resetting PC attempts, Win 10 will not load to the login screen. Instead, it is stuck on a loop flashing between the lock screen and a gray loading screen quickly back to the lock screen -- instead of loading to the login screen. This only happens when I attempt to restart or update my PC. If I go to the lock screen because I locked my PC or it fell asleep, I can unlock it. I have also attempted to reset my PC to the previous build, to no avail. I have no restore points.
I got a brand new laptop and updated to windows 10 from windows 8.1.Windows makes me hate windows 10. There were issues like monitor brightness and sound. But now both are fixed after updating the drivers, i guess. I have laptop with 1080p resolution, for reading purposes. 15.6 inches though. So the GUI looks really small when its at 100 display ratio (or whatever its called). So i have increased the ratio to 150% and most of the applications have gone super blurry.
I have looked for fixes online, but all the solutions i have found do not work.I have tried XPE Windows 10 DPI Fix. (Did not work)I have tried putting a cmd file in start up. (Did not work)Now i am rethinking why i bought a windows laptop.
My specs: Make - ASUS OS - Windows 10 (Previous 8.1) Resolution - 1920x1080 Screen size - 15.6 inch Windows Updates - Up to date
I've just updated Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. It's pretty nice but I found that the text is a little blurry at some areas of the screen. Not everywhere but on some areas The resolution is 1366x768 - as it should be but I the text is blurry anyways. Here's an image:
