I am running Windows 7 64 Ultimate and I am trying to run the MediaCreationTool64 from Microsoft. When I run it, I get message shown below.
At least it's nice to see Windows 10 is carrying on the long-standing Windows tradition of supplying useful and actionable information in their error messages.
I chose to upgrade my PC through the mediaCreationTool and waited for the download to finish.A few minutes later it was checking for updates. Then bam.
My PC suddenly restarted. What I want to know basically is where the mediaCreationTool saves the iso as it has already finished downloading, and if I can use that iso without mediaCreationTool's?
I know there are tons of messages about how to install or force install W10 but I have a different error and none of the solutions seem to work.
I'm getting error 80244019 in WindowsUupdate every time I try to look for updates. I've tried since yesterday the force command line but it does nothing. I've tried also fixing Windows Update with WUdiagnostic. It "solves" 3 or 4 errors everytime I run it but it doesn't change the 80244019 error.
How do I solve 80244019 error?
I have also tried the MediaCreationTool way but when it's going to start the installation it says that I'm trying to install a different language, not the one that uses my OS so it won't let me upgrade The only way is wiping my files and apps and I don't want that. How do I change the language of the MediaCreationTool?
I have a custom PC I built myself. The computer runs flawlessly while playing games or using my computer in any way. I'm having a problem though that I cant find anywhere. When my computer goes into sleep mode by its self and I come back to it later it will just be on a pale blueish screen and occasionally a pale orangy screen and it wont let me do anything. The only thing I can do is hit the reset or power button, and once its back on everything works great until it sleeps again on its own. I don't even know if its a hardware or software problem.
my pc with windows 10 pro is downloading and installing useless software and applications by itself, its very disturbing, while im playing games the screen goes to desktop without any notification and it shows setup being installed of softwares.
I downloaded the update and got lots of errors trying to install it. I converted the esd file to an ISO and tried to run it from a DVD but get a "Can't Continue" message
Just installed Win10 on a Win7 machine. Started it up and walked away.
Came back 3hrs later and all that was on the screen was this message:
Cannot Display this Video Mode. Optimum Resolution 1280 x 1024 60Hz
I can restart the machine and the normal Dell start up stuff happens. The Win10 logo comes up and then the screen goes black with the above message. No cursor. No nothing.
I cant even get the monitor settings to function once the black screen appears.
I can get into the monitor settings during boot up but cant make any changes before the black screen comes up.
When I try to upgrade my Dell XPS 15 running Win 8.1 to Win 10 I get a message "we couldn't update the system reserved partition", I only have an EFI system partition, not the 100MB DATA partition I've read about.
Just upgraded a Samsung Notebook from Windows 7 to Windows 10, keep getting "This application does not support this version of Windows" message regarding Fast Booting, tried compatibility fixes and turning the application off but the messgae still keeps popping up?
Although I have been notified that my upgrade is ready to install, every time I try this it fails with an error message code of '80070002'. I've followed MS instructions on how to fix but guess what - it still fails.
When I start the computer I get a Nag Message from OneDriveto Set Up OneDrive. I want to disable this nag message because I"m not sure I want to use OneDrive right now. How do I stop this message from appearing everytime I start the computer?
Although not a specifically Win10 message the regularity with which the message appears since updating to Win10 is beginning to annoy me. My set up has a small allocation to a recovery drive for the PC, a relic from a prior setup. I could probably delete the partition and merge it with another but for now it doesn't use up much space and happy to leave it except... Every so often I get a system message that says I have low disc space on this drive (in fact no space at all) and I want to stop the message from appearing, I know it is low on disc space and don't need to be told every half hour. how to stop it?
Also I do need to get into the depths of the OpSystem to start to understand privileges etc
I have started to get the following error message when I load my desktop from startup:'The group or resource is not in the correct state to perform the requested operation'.
Here's exactly what happens: I turn on my computer. Get to the lockscreen, tuck that away, enter my password so I can get to the desktop. Right when the desktop starts to appear, I get the above message.
When I searched this message online, all I found were various references to programs and apps. But this message doesn't appear when I run a program or app -- it just appears when my computer starts up.
I've looked in the "Startup" tab of Task Manager to see if there are any apps that shouldn't be there; I've also looked in Programs and Features to see if I've installed any programs recently that might be causing a problem. This has been happening for the past, oh, 3 or 4 days now. And honestly, the only installation/update I can see is a Windows 10 update.
Got this message "CPU isn't supported" when they tried to upgrade to W10. We tried the Media Creation Tool and it came back with "You can't install Windows 10 because your processor doesn't support CompareExchange128". So where do i send her from here ??
I decided to change my powersupply to the new one I just bought. The powersupply wasnt working properly at first doing things like only one cpu fan turns on and the cpufan light doesnt turn on. I wanted to test to make sure everything was working fine before I close up my system so I did a test with everything plugged in including harddrives. When i turn the pc on I am not getting a message saying "NTLDR is missing". I read its something about the boot drive but I dont know how to solve the problem. I removed that powersupply and plugged in my old one that works perfectly fine and still get the message obviously. Could this be because of upgrading to windows 10 or maybe because started up the computer without a harddrive plugged in or maybe the powersupply somehow messed up my harddrive.
How to send a message over the network to a pc? On the same network ofc, I tried this on my NUC "Net send Strix_V3 hello" and it didn`t show up anything on my laptop. I don`t want any third party software.
And, I`ve set up my NUC as a file server with a 1TB external hard drive, and I have shared the two partitions over the network, but when my stepdad is gonna access some of his files he get a message that the owner of the server needs to give him rights or something. How can I make my stepdad have the exact same rights as I have?
