I upgraded to windows 10 today and when I restart my PC, I always get an error issue called rtwlan.
"cannot find device configuration file, load default settings"
Is there anyway to solve this issue and is it related to my wifi drivers?
Recently, sometime after getting the free upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, I noticed my DVD/CD drive was no longer being acknowledged by my laptop.
I went into Device Manager and found "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)".
I uninstalled the device(TSSTcorp CDDVDW SU-208BB,) and restarted. Nothing changed, so I tried going into registry and deleting UpperFilters and LowerFilters, and again restarted. No change. When I start my computer in safe mode, it works fine.
I also tried buying an external dvd/cd drive, plugged it in and installed drivers. It came out with the exact same error.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite S55-A5236.
(I even heard that uninstalling iTunes sometimes works, tried it, didn't work.)
After I backup I get an error message: The system cannot find the file specified (0x80070002).

View 1 RepliesSo I restarted my computer and router because my internet was being slower then usual. After I restarted my computer it took almost 30 secs to show the log in screen, that's the longest it's ever taken. After I log in it takes about 3 mins to load an application. Even when I attempted to open my windows setting it's slow. My computer is a gaming computer with an i7 and a gtx 970 with 16 gigs of dd3 ram.

in windows 10 when I trying to safely eject the USB it says that the USB device is already in use (which is not )and if I'm removing it forcely the pc freeze and I'm getting the bsod with the error: inaccessible boot device and then my pc turning off I tried to format but it still happing I had no choice to go back to win 8.1 and there everything good (also it happing with some USB devices but some are working to but still .

I get the message when I try to install dotnetfx35setup which is supposed to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
I upgrade my system with new motherboard Gigabyte gaming 5. All other parts used before and works fine. And now forks everything accept when I restart my computer then it shows no bootable device. But if I shut down it and start up manually then it works. How to fix that? I have windows 10
View 1 RepliesQuite frequently my Windows 10 Home dektop pc does not restart properly I get the blue screen and it says it will restart for me but generally does not but gives me the error message "Inaccessible Boot Device" It does not always do that but quite frequently.
I just restarted 3 times without a hitch but the fourth time it gave me the "Blue Screen Problem We Will Restart For You Error Inaccessible Boot Device" This time it actually went right ahead and restarted. It usually does not do that so readily.
When trying to create Windows 10 installation media on a USB drive with media creation tool,despite having a 16gig USB drive plugged in and recognized by my laptop it's not being recognized by media creation tool..(refresh does nothing)
Question #1..does this USB drive need to be empty with no other files on it whatsoever?
Question #2..this USB drive was formatted in Windows 7 initially,do I need to reformat it now in Windows 10?
Question #3...Why the heck am I doing this on a relaxing Sunday afternoon??..??
I have two Windows 10 laptops. One updated to whatever version that added the "Find My Device" option in "Updates & Security." The other doesn't seem to be able to update to that version. Of course, the laptop that got it is one that stays at home and the one where it would be useful because I travel with it, it's not updating.
I am just assuming the cause is that it's not updating Windows 10 to the version that activates "Find My Device."
I have recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I wanna play a old game which requires the disk to run, it worked fine in W7 because it could find my DVD drive, but now it is simply not there... Not even in Device Manager.

No results for "driver" I think before it had a result for driver updates by default.There are results for printer, which is nice. I know there should be something similar for Device Manager.

View 3 RepliesI just encountered a problem yesterday, I'm unable to change my headphones to the default device. I can only set them to Default Communications Device or not default anything. Here's a picture of my playback devices tab.
The communications headphones is the headphone jack, and the speakers just don't work anymore for some reason. also my volume mixer is empty.
I noticed the problem when I saw that my mixer was empty, and I had League of Legends muted before it started, so now I can't unmute it.
So two things; when I restart my computer my saved and in-use cursor always resets back to the default cursor pack that comes with the system. I had this issue in Windows 8.1 too, but now it's getting on my nerves because I've got to go to the cursor customization panel every time I turn my computer back on for 2 reasons.
The second reason is not one I had in any previous versions. On my laptop touch pad, I always use the invisible scroll bar option on the edge, which you can turn on through the Synaptics settings, which is now found in the same panel I use to change my cursor back.
Is there any way to make these two settings default so I don't have to redo them every single time I turn my computer on?
For the cursors, I download/make individual cursors and customized them, saving the general group in a file I call 'custom cursors', I don't download entire packs. I never have to reload the cursor set I'm trying to use, I just have to pull up the panel and click 'ok' to get back out of it, and this updates me to the custom cursors that were already on there, like the system knew I wanted them, but I just sort of had to remind it to activate them. For the Synaptics issue, I never had the problem before the Windows 10 update and I use the scrolling function a LOT.
Just a while ago i was using my bluetooth just fine on my laptop with headsets. I lost connection (headset battery ran out) so i turned bluetooth off then quit the settings app. Going back, bam! no bluetooth settings. Trying to search "bluetooth" takes me to airplane mode and there are no bluetooth settings there. I don't know how to turn it back on again. Are there any third-party bluetooth software because this is the second time I'm having this problem (first was on windows 8.1) and often I had to restart the computer.

View 5 RepliesI can chose what sound device to use in a game and can switch between them. Head set or five way surround sound - room speakers. But I don't seem to be able to get anyplace on a consistent basis in edge. Right now I can't get anything to play. First time I opened it played over my speakers. Some time later suddenly it would only play over my head set. The other day I had success opening Realtek audio manager. I actually got sound coming out of my speakers.
Now I cannot repeat it. I have never consciously changed anything to do with the setting for sound. In fact I can't find one in edge.
Opening up system I can find no way to set a default play back device... I'm lost. Some how I now have it playing out of my speakers again. But a gremlin did it.
I just upgraded to windows 10 and one of the things that bugs me is the file explorer on task bar load very slow. It takes around 1 seconds to load if I click on the explorer on task bar. However, if I use the win+E button the explorer open instantly.
I tried to create shortcut from the file explorer exe in windows folder and the time it take to load is about the same with loading on task bar.
Every time I go to "This PC" section in my file explorer it never loads and is very slow. If I try to launch it from the Start I get what's shown in the pic. I can still navigate to other places on my drive and access the files as such but I cant use this section.
View 5 RepliesI've had Windows 10 for a couple weeks now, my laptop is running pretty slow (was bad before the update, I figured because it was mostly full but didn't seem to get much better after freeing up some space) and as of a few days ago File Explorer stopped loading most of my folders. Whenever I tried and go into one, e.g. Click on "Documents" it just says 'working on it' and endlessly loads. Thought an update might work but Windows Update won't work either, I just get the endless loading dots.
Btw I'm using a HP Pavilion DM4 Notebook (Beats Edition)
I just upgraded from windows 7 to 10 and I keep trying to load apps for both Facebook and Mint from the store and keep getting the error code 0X80240437, and they wont load.
View 2 RepliesI have seen this issue before in Windows 7 but this is happening on one of my Windows 10 computers. I want to have my settings set to Adjust for best appearance but when I restart the computer, it'll be set to custom but all of my settings will still have a check mark in the check boxes but not all of them will take affect until I change it back to adjust for best performance which I think is only a couple of options not taking affect.
